    I'm Embarrased For Them...

Twilight wasn't disappointing, it was dissatisfying. In all realism I didn't expect the movie to be half as mind blowing as the book. Really since when have movies ever been better than literature? But, there comes a line where a movie not only interrupts the vision of the book but, doesn't do it justice. And, that movie is Twilight.

Aside from the shotty acting, odd plot line up, and deviation from text Twilight was just awkwardly sorted out.The movie is riddled with scene flaws and conflicts- Bella appears in shots with no pants on, Rosalie wears gloves in the house--to cook at that, and Jasper has all of 5 lines in the whole 2hrs of film. Either someone just graduated from film school or awoke at 4am to turn in 'Twilight' as a rough draft in an 8am class the next morning.

While I was highly anticipating both Robbert Patterson and Kirsten Stewart I'm left in awe of the dreadful, tasteless, romance they portray. Both Bella and Edwards characters were horribly executed in their mannerisms and motions. As opposed to acting both Robert and Kristen rely on speaking. This creates an odd environment for film goers and leaves you questioning whether or not the romance even exist.

Seems to me that somewhere during production a person was missing to ask a simple, "seriously, what the hell?!". The cinematography, soundtrack, and location setting were not only a huge plus but probably what saved the little of Twilight that's decent. The angles really capture the emotion of the film. It truly is unfortunate that the script didn't follow. My biggest complaint with the entire charade is the timeline and sequencing of events. Logically things just don't add up. The characters go from near-restraining orders to a boundless, nonequivalent love for one another. Remember back in like 5th grade when you forgot to read the ending to those great classics you just "Asked Jeeves" or looked up Sparknotes? Well, let's just say the editor/screen- director for this film did alot of texting Cha Cha to find out what happens next.

Much of Bella's action takes place during a turrets-like seizure occurring from a 'venom' bite. She's either whining or complaining but, it's never made certain to whom or why.All series have their weakness's and strengths but, is she seriously gonna try and convince me that in a town of 3k people there's a minority around every corner? We get it, you've read a book , you're educated. But, I feel making two of the main characters in the first film of minority descents is a bit much. It unnecessarily overpowers the plot. The deal made with Apple and Google was disgustingly apparent and obnoxiously noted. Major pluses of the movie as stated early def include, sound, staging, and location. The humor and wit behind many of the shots is brilliant. This can REALLY been seen in the clip of "Bella comes to dinner". But, beyond that the dialogue becomes a bore, so much so that the audience began laughing in mockery. With it's unintentional humor and flighty acting the entire movie becomes not only, hard to follow but, a struggle. And with all the 'struggling' I put into watching Twilight it just became a waste. The audience put forth more effort into STAYING during the film than the actors INTO the film. And, that's venomous.

Twilight in a nutshell: Books can be made into movies without completing loosing all dignity: Harry potter,LOTR,X- Men, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.. etc. Twilight however, will NOT be added to that list anytime soon. Of all scenes 'Family baseball' is a sure fan favorite and that's because it's true to the characters and the novel. Robert was gorgeous but, that was the extent to his presence. Many of the characters either were simply there to 'fill space' or were so overly exaggerated that they became too unrealistic to possibly have ever been human. Much of the budget was spent on expensive scenes/angles while the rest of the movie (including it's entire plot) suffered.More than anything however the most frustrating fact had to have been the chronological sequencing. Crucial moments were nixed or shortened placing less profound moments in more critical places. Major characters like Jacob, Jasper, and even Bella really suffered in the screen writing. They were invisible children.

I read the series and while I appreciate Stephanie as a writer I wish she had the insight to fight for the film Twilight could have been, better yet should have been. For future films I highly suggest she re-consider choice in screen-writer and director they are what made this movie hard to swallow.
