it's not just the coaches though, but also the players. take for example steve francis and cuttino mobley, they were unseparable in houston and the trade that sent them to orlando. but regardless with their friendship, mobley was being shifted to sacramento in xchange for defense support, doug cristie.

such as the other players, whom a team tends to inexplicably talk about the business that they are being already traded to the other team. there are so many cases like this in the NBA, but again, it's sports business. no matter how deep ur relationship it is with ur team or with a teammate, it's impossible to be on that team for too long - not if ur a franchise player, ie the reggie millers and the john stocktons in the league.

if we're talking about trading/not resigning "supposedly" franchise players, there's a lot of names in the NBA, i mean really big names. shaq is one relatively fresh example, who would ever thought in their right mind trade "the most dominant big man" of this era? who would have ever thought personally that shaq would wear another jersey? what about t mac? what about vince carter? and the list goes on and on. and if we're talking about friendships, one good example is "the big 3" here in dallas, the triumvirate of nash, nowitzki and finley. i've been observing those guys closely for the past three years (before the trades) and they practically grew up and matured with each other's company, personally and basketball wise. as what i've said, in any professional sports franchise, nobody's "untradeable" and there's always an exception here and there. but this business has treated names like babe ruth and alex rodriguez in baseball, kareem abdul jabar and wilt chamberlain in basketbal, like chips in vegas or stocks at the new york stocks exchange. and everyone of those mentioned here knows it's all "BUSINESS".

with the onset of the salary cap, luxury tax and now the "amnesty clause" in the NBA or for any professional sport for that matter, i don't think anybody, Garnett and Bryant included, would be spared from being traded or maybe worse be victims of the "amnesty clause" or unfavorable situations (chemistry/teamwork) of their respective teams in the future. Garnett's contract is until 2008-2009 but i don't think he'll stay there for the duration unless GM Kevin Mchale finds a way to assemble a potent line up around KG sooner.. rather than later.. while Bryant's contract is good for another 7 years, there's a lot of stuff between now and then that could happen. new coach, new GM, new owner or any unforseen circumstances might occur forcing Kobe to play for another team. both guys are competitors, they love this game so much that i don't think they'll stay with a team that won't reach the playoffs in 2-3 consecutive seasons.. and i believe the same is true for all professional athletes.. just my thougths..

well, it all depends on what these franchise players think about the club's adjustment/s and creating the supporting cast around him and take them to where they want to be. aside from those contracts and how long they are, it is also possible for them to get committed with their respective clubs. Malone and Stockton remained in utah for about 14 years and that friendship and connection between them carried their team to the finals, only to succumb against the then-dynasty Chicago Bulls and MJ. they had their ups and downs and that tandem has been one of the best 1-2 punches in the NBA history. talk about chemistry and dedication...

anyway, i have the feeling that the milwaukee bucks and the la clippers will have a real shot in the playoffs. they're not the same team na karon... big improvement though.

kita ko sa game ila ni joanna ganina...

thrilling kau, sayang jud wa lang napasulod ni garnett iya shot sa final seconds. t'was a seesaw battle for both teams, but mobley paced the clippers to start off a 3-0 record, first time for the clippers, after 20 years.

3-0 sad ang bucks karon after a decent victory over the miami heat, wa lang si shaq... ambot lang sad f kung naa cya, magkabuang cguro si andrew bogut ug magloire ug defend. but mourning did a fine job though, finishing with 14 pts, 12 rbds and 4 blocks. nice...

ngilngig line-up sa bucks, karon pa ko:
    C - Magloire
    PF - Bogut
    SF - Simmons
    SG - Redd
    PG - Ford

not to mention the seasoned veteran toni kukoc (idol ni archer ) and maurice williams who had 16 pts...
