POS is a very simple program, it could be made in any language.
where is the thread starter? i think he is now convinced that POS needs a lot of aspects. possessing comprehensive coding skills is not enough for developing any kind of quality application. you need to be an oracle so you can attain a realistic overall planning and design.
And naka sulay na ba mo nga gi hangyo mo sa store owner to tweak the daily/weekly/monthly sales report?
You need BIR accreditation, you will notice in the receipt there is an accreditation number, I'm about to develop a Linux based POS program but I'm not clear with the government procedures so I shifted to other project. Tweaking sales is also expected which I don't like but that's what most are doing.
As for the thread starter, fast learner alone is not enough but if you really that interested then you could have self-study or try to look for an open source POS.
hahaha nalingaw ko coz ang thread starting na najud ka comment..
all are advices are correct, but it's not about how fast u learn, it's about what passion you have, nway... fast learning doesn't entail memorization if ur talking about IT stuff.. one should be highly analytical.
