    Yes, i am familiar with disaster recovery. I have designed and implemented backup procedures.
    But this is not an everyday routine.

    This is true also for company expansion. Sometimes these jobs are even subcontracted.

    Sadly, net admins tend to become tech support in some companies because after the network running and done, they have nothing to do after.

    On critical operations however, three shift 24-7 net admins are MUCH needed. But this is not common.

    listen to your desire bro. don't go for the fad. i made my self successful by listening what i love to do not what others want me to. be an expert on a particular field where your heart belongs. It is not difficult to find a job if you are skilled and to be skilled you must practice and you must love what you are doing so you practice.

    Net Admin + DR ?? disaster recovery is very broad !!! to what level of disaster recovery you guys are talking about?

    does backuping of corporate data's or let say recovery & disaster plan of any centralize datacenter are the network Admin's job?

    haven't meet Network Admin here having 9,000 users 3 different sites

    talking about salary benchmark,

    neophyte programmer/developer against vs neophyte admin likely pareha2x rana og salary but difference is as one progresses to the next level, mas dunay edge ang programmer. cause highest position for developer is software consultants and they are paid really high.
