    my top 5

.) 1984 - jordan and olajuwon dominated the 90's, jordan had 6 titles while olajuwon had 2, combining for 8 of the possible 10 from 1990-1999. this is not just a class which had talented players but winners as well. barkley has led the suns to the finals and stockton helped the jazz make it to the finals twice, unfortunately both of their suns and jazz lost to jordan and the bulls. what never happened was a bulls-rockets finals duel, supposedly a big one considering that these two teams were the ones winning titles during the decade. notables are sam perkins, kevin willis, sam bowie, alvin robertson, otis thorpe, and rick carlisle.

.) 1996 - with all due respect to lebron and melo, this class is better and heavier talent wise than the 2003 draft. a lot of players from this class have already proven their worth. kobe has won 3 titles and 1 MVP, ray allen has helped rebuild the celtics into a powerhouse once again, steve nash has 2 MVPs, iverson set a record by becoming the shortest NBA MVP ever, and ben wallace earned the reputation of being one of the best defenders in the NBA history and coming out of nowhere. other big names are stephon marbury, jermaine o'neal, zydrunas ilgauskas, marcus camby, and predrag stojakovic.

.) 2003 - lebron, melo, bosh, and wade alone, not that much to say. this is a very talent heavy team and has the potential to send the NBA to greater heights. wade has won a title and james has led the cavaliers to a finals appearance, but apart from that, not much has been proven from this class. kirk hinrich, tj ford, chris kaman, david west, leandro barbosa, josh howard, and mikael pietrus all came from this batch. a disappointment though was darko milicic who never lived up to the class hype as being the number 2 overall pick. more years for these guys and they'll be among the NBA's best of all time.

.) 1995 - a bunch of go to guys and reliable all-stars. kevin garnett with minnesota and helped boston win another title, rasheed wallace with portland and helped detroit upset the star studded lakers, damon stoudamire with toronto, and jerry stackhouse with detroit. key players like michael finley, theo ratliff, antonio mcdyess, and brent barry are also from this class. a big turndown though was bryant reeves who faced weight and injury problems early which eventually caused to cut his career short.

.) 1992 - shaquille o'neal have saved this class to my top 5. o'neal has led the lakers to 3 titles and helped miami win it's first ever, not to mention all the individual awards that he has won through his career which earned him the rep of being one of the best NBA centers of all time. apart from shaq, alonzo mourning also had a soild career before going down with an operation. mourning has helped lead miami into a short lived rivalry against east powerhouses chicago and new york in the mid 90's. other notables are latrell sprewell, jimmy jackson, tom gugliotta, and christian laettner.
