@malic...i shared last time about my curiosity about sufism...kay nahan man gud kaayo ko sa works ni Rumi...are you familiar with them? If not try lang ug google bro and let me know what you think....anyway below is a short description of Rumi for those nga interested taken from Rumi — Poet Seers

    Jalalud'din Rumi

Jalalud'din Rumi is one of the world’s most revered mystical poets. During his lifetime he produced a prolific range of inspiring and devotional poetry which encapsulates the sufi's experience of union with the divine. These timeless classics have enjoyed a renaissance in recent years, as Rumi has become one of our most popular poets. Although Rumi was a Sufi and a great scholar of the Qu’ran his appeal reaches across religious and social divisions. Even during his lifetime he was noted for his cosmopolitan outlook. His funeral, which lasted 40 days, was attended by Muslims, Jews, Persians, Christians and Greeks.

i used to have this impression on islam....but one of my muslim friends kinda said "that is not islam, that is arab" with regards to some practices commonly equated with islam...

coz if you look at other islam influenced places, such as malaysia...di naman pervalent sa kanila yung suppression regarding women's rights.

Diha nimo makit-an pre how strong the Islamic faith REALLY is. A very fine example of selfless faith. Whether Islam is good or bad or the extremists follow a misguided doctrine it really shows how virtually fool proof Islam really is that people are willing to grit their teeth for it.

Ang Christianity? Kusog mangisog. Kusog manghasi. Kusog mangita ug bikil. Manghabog sa ginoo nila na isog pud. Pero pakit-a ug kutsilyo; han-i ug pusil. Diba mangluspad? True, 60% of the world population probably belongs to Christian religions but 90% of those followers are hypocrites. Maayo ra mangisog kung daghan. Pero kung usa ra mamayot man diay.

Imagine a suicide bomber that could literally be torn apart by a rival religion if he gets caught and yet he selflessly walks in a crowded room of "infidels" and blows the rest of the crowd to hell and him to heaven. How many christians does it take to do that? And don't tell me wala because the number of Christian Hate Groups are overwhelming and yet none of these do something as bold as that. Maayo ra mag mass suicide. Pagkawalay dungog anang hinungdana!

I think this saying applies to this situation I just changed the nouns: "Muslims die young. Christians die old but very slowly." This was originally about married men and bachelors. hehehe

Remember that fictional story about a pastor holding a service nya gisudlan ug armado na tao? "Those willing to take a bullet for Christ stay in the room!" and the majority left.

ang ako ra nahibaw-an giunsa sa al qaeda pag brainwash. it's more on physiological manipulation prior to brainwash.

ibutang daw ka sa desert for how many days without food and water. After that daw, kuhaon ka. At a starved and tired condition you are in a hallucinogenic state. Your mind is VERY receptive daw to suggestion because it is no longer working properly. Diri daw isugod ang brainwash. SO even if maulian ka your mind has already been pre-programmed to do certain tasks unwittingly. So if ingnan ka na blow yourself up you will do it without question.
