Racism in the US does exist still. Lately, I've been hearing whites (some are even friends) using the word n***er, and it really upsets me.

if u are a white man or an asian man and u call black man as "nigger" masuko na sila..

pero if u are a black man and ur calling a fellow black man as "nigger" okey ra na nila dili sila mosuko hahaha

That's not necessarily true. If a black man who was a stranger, approaches another black man whom he didn't know, and said "Hey nigger!", the other black man could be slightly insulted, because dili man sila magkaila.

Parehas lang na sa bisaya ba, if you call out to a total stranger across the street "HOY BUANG!" you can imagine his negative reaction. But if that person was your barkada or close friend, then okay lang, and he will even laugh or smile at you when he turns his head and sees you.

Racism is simply a product of fear and the drive for self-preservation. Anything unfamiliar or unknown usually is deemed a threat towards the existence of an individual or group.

Like in all things, fear is the hate of all things unknown.
