I also gave a copy of the pdf to my counterpart a year ago and this was his reply:
"Many people come to work for Lexmark with the impression that they are working for an American company. However, you can't avoid the fact that a bit of the local culture will sink in to it."
Which roughly translates:
"If this company is going to hell then it's the people running it here in Cebu that's doing it. Not our problem." LOL
Can't blame him though. A lot of people in the US have expressed great distaste for outsourcing. Jobs here means no jobs for them. I'm very sensitive about such things. I need to make sure that the company I work for is "expanding" and not "moving their presence elsewhere". Both still mean outsourcing but they have different effects on the economy.
