Yes Raptors. If Raptors aren't an option ... the F-35 in development certainly is and it uses a lot of the F-22's technology. The lowest amount being put into it by an individual country for development is a bit over 100 million. There ya go. Carry on.
In any case, my point is planes cost money. The Philippines doesn't have that money to spare. You can argue that is caused by corruption, the end result is the same, the Philippines doesn't have money.
What would the Philippines need an advanced aircraft for in the first place when the country is fighting rebels with Vietnam era technology? Any real outside threat the Philippines poses will be answered by the US anyway ... usually just by having a supercarrier sail by ... a supercarrier with the technology, cost, and weaponry many times more expensive and more advanced than the Philippines. Ask yourselves ... why does the Philippines need any kind of advanced aviation aircraft? The only thing that needs fixing is the safety record of the air force.
