The Los Angeles Lakers have requested waivers on guard Joe Crawford and forward CJ Giles, it was announced today.

Selected by the Lakers with the 58th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, Crawford, a 22 year-old native of Detroit, Michigan, played four seasons at the University of Kentucky, averaging 11.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 127 games (76 starts). In six preseason games with the Lakers, Crawford averaged 2.8 points in 7.3 minutes.

Giles, a 6-11 forward who finished his collegiate career at Oregon State after playing two seasons at Kansas, averaged 6.3 points and 5.6 rebounds in ten games last season for the Beavers. Giles played in four preseason games with the Lakers where he averaged 2.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 7.2 minutes.

The Lakers preseason roster now stands at 15.

I see, so ilang kuhaon ang g waive sa Boston (who beat them in the Finals btw) bcoz the Celtics think Darius Miles is crap and WORTHLESS then kuhaon dayon sa Lakers? What a lovely idea hehehehehe.... You could be GM of the year...^^

Pila na ka forwards ang Lakers? Hmmm we have Odom, Ariza, Radmanovic, and Walton... Where would Miles fit in?^^

nyahahaha, ako kuhaon if ako GM sa LAKERS ngano di gud.i know Walton isnt in shape at all,then Radmanovic is inconsistent in defense.Miles can help on the LAKERS defense,Him and Ariza.so what ug gi waived siya sa Boston?? di diay siya pwede mo click sa LAKERS kay gikan siya sa Boston?

Hmmm murag bleak nana c Miles bai ky bati ug work ethic... There is a reason Ainge waived his a** plus he had microfracture on his right knee...Players like him need that explosive athleticism that he could never have again...

Pabulyagon ky ng violate sa drug policy sa league...

I really like Walton though... Definitely not as good as his old man but he has Basketball smarts and has good passing skills and he can make those perimeter shots... I have no idea he was injured. Switch lang from the wily Walton to the athletic Ariza to adjust on their opponents style of play. Radman can die for all I care...

Lakers had the most votes among GMs to win it all this year while Bryant is second to Bron on MVP predictions... We'll see...

My outlook on the Lakers = complete... Wla nay angay usbon sa line-up...

Improve lang sa team chemistry to fit in Bynum back in the swing of things and try to figure out Odom's new role with the team whether he be a starter or the mascot.

mastorya man jud ni nato kung nganoganahan kaayo si Phil ni Radmanovic e starting 5.i dunno unsa jud iyang ganahan ani na player.if outside shooting atong storyahan naa man si fisher,kobe,sun yue,sasha,farmar,walton.naintriga lang ko kay murag paborito man gud kaau ni siya ni Phil.
