Default Monterazas De Cebu: Are you a flood victim?

Landco's Monterazas de Cebu is in the news again. Floods, lanslides, silted creeks, flooded roads and houses, etc.

Development for Cebu or perwisyo sa tao?
    ARE YOU A VICTIM?
(Guadalupe, Banawa, Tisa, Labangon, Lower Happy Valley, Francisca village, etc.)

Image shows where the water from the Monterazas earthworks, cut and fill operations up in mountains of Guadalupe and Tisa drains towards the lower communities.

In Labangon, except for sitio Lutaw-lutaw - floods were almost non-existent until Monterazas started. Nowadays, with little rain up in the mountains, the creek near the Court of Appeals through Francisca Village is always overflowing. Where the water used to be dark it is now ALWAYS the color of newly disturbed soil carried from Monterazas!

Post your opinion, gripe, photo's, damage, inconvenience and RISK. DO WE WAIT UNTIL SOMEONE DIES BEFORE LANDCO AND THE CITY DO SOMETHING?

Write your Barangay Captain Jing Faelnar of Guadalupe and Capitan Abella of Labangon! Write City hall! Write to Sunstar! Write Councilor Carillo. Someone should pay for the damage in our flooded homes!

para nako maayo unta nga naay development sa Cebu but wala perwisyo sa mga tawo. Our city government should look for a solution of these problems without stopping the progress of our city.

i had my qualms about this project ever since that ugly scar started appearing above our formerly majestic backdrop of mountains...

instead of carving up mountains to build homes, we should learn to turn to highrise living instead...
