This will be all happing next year, i work for Ayala Land and in both cities CDO & Davao we will be starting our projects. Projects like these are multi million investment that are not decide in haste, we have to wait for the LGU's and public forumn before we proceed with these project on the two key cities in northern mindanao this is what we call due deligence. we will be there and we will make our presence felt.

Are you sure you work for Ayala Land? What department if I may ask? I work for Ayala Malls and I can't help but notice that there have been claims that Ayala will build a mall in Cagayan de Oro simultaneous with the one being built in Davao. Contrary to the claims, there have been no announcements to our team to that effect. To be fair, initial plans to build an Ayala mall in Mindanao have indeed been identified with Cagayan de Oro. But after conducting thorough feasibility and market studies, the figures showed that the usual niche of Ayala is still premature in Cagayan de Oro. However, a different result came out when the same studies were conducted for Davao. Thus, Ayala Malls postponed its project for Cagayan de Oro and decided to prioritize Davao.

Finally, it is unlikely that Ayala will risk building two malls in one clustered location, i.e. Mindanao, unless the demand for spaces can justify otherwise. But with the looming global financial crisis, and with the recent stand of our organization to adopt cautious measures in development, the planned Ayala mall in Cagayan de Oro would have to take an untimely setback.

However, Ayala Land still promises to make its presence in Cagayan de Oro strongly felt by continuously devoting its allocated resources to develop highend residential estates such as the Alegria Hills.

Sorry sa mga taga-CDO, but with regards to your claim that you are catching up with Davao's progress, its Zamboanga City who beat you to that. Guess Zambo will be the next city in Mindanao to have a highrise building afterall.

Simultaneously, Zambo is also constructing another 10 storey hotel and mall called SHOPPER'S MALL. If there is a city in Mindanao that Davao should be insecure, that would be Zamboanga City.

^^^ i did mention the timeframe kung kanus.a niabot ad2 n rank ang CDO... surely other cities are keeping up... so I dont know n sd sa current ranking...
