they don't actually hack your GPU. what they hack are secured networks, internet servers and the likes using the processing power of the GPU. this may be for fun or information gathering to be used for whatever reason they have. hehehe...Originally Posted by rubiks_gang

They are using brute force entry. In this case the more complex and difficult the security the more they require hardware and computing power.
Nvidia's specs deosn't reach terraflops but almost like 900+ gigaflops.teraflops...
However ATIs 4870 GPU is about 1.2 terraflops.

not that i'm encouraging hackers but i can just imagine the smile in their eyes. i'm just wondering.. did they use muliple GPUs?
