i think you're talking about exceptions sa firewall. this allows ports and not block ports;correct me if i'm wrong.

Blocking of ports is completely on the side of the ISP, it has nothing to do with anything else other than to be able to configure it to blockÂ* the said port. Simple solution -askÂ* your ISP a favor to do it. you can use a different port for your outgoing mail server, there are thousands to choose from.

bro.. try the symantec security internetfirewall.... i used that before and very strict jud ka ayo na sya... but im not sure kong kaya ba na niya nga worm....try lang....

we experience that problem before if u remember juvio.. we have numbers of clients nga connected ana nga networking bussnes.. using our connections they send a thousand of email.... grabe ka daghan.... after one week na block pod me sa spamhaus....

im not using our ISP's email. our email & website is hosted by another firm and we use their pop/smtp server. regarding my problem, i also want to solve/learn how to do it.

symantec firewall is really nice but it's not free (i guess). i've used that one as well but i have to say that outpost is really the best for me. the company that i'm working for will not purchase another software because we just bought a lot of M$ products and hurot na ilang savings.

what i did is i kept on scanning for netsky nalng twice a day. two antivirus apps are running (norton and avg). so far wala na biya and i hope dili na mo balik or ma prevent perhaps.

sygate firewall seems to work for me too. windows 2000 server man gud akong isa ka server so windows firewall is not available there.

suggestion lang neh bro... maypa kana imong isa ka server imo ng himo on nga stand alone firewall... linux ang O.S...kana if familliar ka sa linux..but if deli.. murag lisod2x...

yep linux jud bay ang solution ana..libre pa..pero kailangan lang jud ug research especially if dli kau ka familiar

gamay lang sa linux bro. i have tried debian, rh9,fedora & linspire pero only when i check sa mysql,install packages and copy files. i think i can learn that pero sa daghan sa work nako dire bai and user intervention,it's quite hard to find some time.

file server mani akong gusto butangan ug firewall kay mura did2 mo start ang mailing/spamming. my proxy (internet) uses outpost and wingate. i wish i could block it there too. squid ba nang sa linux sharing?
