White View is in Santiago, as well as Masamayor. It's like they divided this loooooong sandy beach resort among maybe 3 or 4 properties but really it's just 1 long strip of sandy beach resort. Thing is I haven't stayed in any of the properties so I wouldn't know the difference among them.
Bakhaw Beach is nicer than Mangodlong in terms of beach front. White sand also, not as big as Santiago's but definitely bigger than Mangodlong's. If you want the feeling of having the beach to yourself, Bakhaw is more private than the others.
I have no idea where Mahaba is.
Tabang! Pwede mangayu advice. Travel itinerary for a 3 day stay sa camotes and mga rates esp sa transpo, accomodation ug mga entrance fees. Were leaving on the 14th and wa pa jud clear ang plano. Badly need anyone's help. Thanks daan!
up ko sa iyang question.., interest pud ko sa maong lugar, kay wa pa ko kaadto..
places to visit:
lake danao (san francisco) - kayak and fishing. you can have your lunch there, have your catch cooked and eat it sa kiosk. entrance is P10 (i think), fishing is per kilo (can't remember how much).
bukilat cave (tudela) - picture taking and swimming (make sure you'll go there during high tide). entrance is P20 (i think). no carenderia in the vicinity.
boho beach resort (poro) - swimming. entrance P10 (if the caretaker is around or else you go free). no carenderia in the vicinity. always high tide...hehe. watch out for sea snakes.
santiago beach resort (san francisco) - very very nice sand beach but not much fun if low tide if you like swimming in deep water. other activities: snorkeling, beach volleyball, frisbee (bring your own frisbee. teehee), sandcastle making (or something like that), etc., etc. room rates: range of 1,500 - 3,000. will post tel numbers later.
mangodlong beach resort (san francisco) - swimming. room rates: a bit higher than santiago's.
quarry (altavista, poro) - highest peak in camotes. good for hiking. entrance: i don't know. haven't been there lately.
kawit resort (pilar) - another island (still part of camotes). pumpboat ride from tudela pier (around 30 mins) for P500 (pumpboat rent) or P50 per person. nice stretch of sand. entrance: no idea.
if itinerary not enough, you can go around camotes for a day. there's a trail that connects san francisco, tudela, poro.
salamat unofficial player. very helpful info. pila kaha ang tour around camotes for a day bro? asa na dapit mu dunggo ang boat gkan sa danao wharf? salamat kaau!
ive been to camotes last summer...as in super duper nice ang place...barato ra kayu ngadto...natuyok namu whole island gasto rami 5k sa amu 3 days ug 2 nyts...inclusive na sa tanan...
pm me kng knsa tu ganahan, pra i can cgive u the hints
taga camotes ko..thnks sa pag apreciate sa amoa place...hehehe
you're most welcome. you might want to ask eshie kay murag barato jud ang 5k nga package niya. i'm not that knowledgeable sa transpo didto but as far as i know medyo expensive jud.
as for pumpboat from danao wharf, i think sa consuelo (san francisco) na siya modunggo. asa mo gikan? there's a 6AM trip from ouano (mandaue) wharf. that's near mandaue sports complex and mandaue gen hospital. if taga city mo, then the pumpboat from ouano wharf is more accessible and mo-stop over na siya sa consuelo (same sa pumpboat from danao wharf). fare is P300 na man siguro karon kay last May 2008 P200 pa man.
anyway, golden express leaves from pier 1 at 5:30PM ETA 8:00PM at P400/person. docks at poro wharf (if adto mo stay sa san francisco, medyo layo pa jud ang biyahe).
hi, jblim1980! post sad ug answers and suggestions. you might have more answers for them esp transpo and accommodation rates.
there's a lodging place sa lake danao. i think rates include kayaking and other activities sa lake. try this number 09107723696 and ask re lake danao accommodation. can't remember the name of the contact person though (sorry).
