when i was freshman, i was also worried but look at me now...
one thing ako ma-advice, if your really like IT dont be scared just because of the math subject. to get past the math subjects, just study, practice solving and more practice...
di man..logic man ang IT wui... dapat maau ka mo solve..kblo ka mo solve...analyze..and you love being IT
you dont need to be good at math, just witty enough not to fail it. so it doesnt give your TOR bad records hehehee.
for me yes you have to be good at it because if your good in math it means you have a very good logical and analytical skills
You have to be good with dealing people. so that you can pull those stunts not to fail sa Math subjects
You don't have to be very good at it and not bad as well. After all IT is not all about math. It will help you though in your problem solving, logic, and analytical skills.
LoL if you know how MDAS you are IT..... Multiply Division Addition and Subtraction + Boolean
there you can be an IT... not everything in math is IT LoL!
me take 3 ko sa trigo, take 2 sa algebra, take 2 sa probstat pero i found nga take 1 ra diay ko kay pasar hehehehe. pero look at me now.
IT Pro na gyud lol! as in Higher level a supervisor!
I have been on the IT industry for Three years now. So far, what i've always tried to improve is analytical skills and patience. Strong analytical skills to solve or implement something as fast as you can, and the patience to take it easy when things get rough. And of course, to always go back to basics because this is where all sophisticated things branch out.
For me, IT is not just a job, it's a vocation.
