no, she DA WOMAN!!!
I've heard of Nancy for her work in NOVEMBER.....Though I listed the my fave cinematographers as all male, I actually look up to the works of Ellen Kuras and Nancy Schreiber.
These girls ROCK!!!
Kind of off topic (I don't know the latter woman you mentioned) but I liked the way Sofia handled the narrative footing so decisively in VIRGIN SUICIDES... it's based on a novel right? Anyway in the beginning we are let in to what happens in the inevitable finale via voice over - this is probably just one of her methods of expressing the novel cinematically but when we get to that part in the ending it just feels like your car has hit a sudden brake or something. It still HITS HARD... and that's really expertise in storytelling. In fact I'm more partial to SUICIDES than L.I.T.Yup, I like Sophia Coppolla's work as well as Rebecca Miller.
Oh to get back closer to the topic, I've seen the featurette of LIT lots of "guerilla" tactics there also like how they had the farce of ordering some lattes so they can steal shots of the city below...
