-COBOL, pang back-end/background processing.
-Java - Front/Web applications.
Meaning kung midrange/mainframe inyong server, you need to communicate thru COBOL.
Example lang ATM(Bank) nya imong server midrange/mainframe platform(Dili SQL).
- ang application sa ATM it's either c/c++/java whatever. do you think nga maka pul-out na diretso ug data ang ATM?
- Ayaw gud ninyo sawaya ang COBOL kay usually they earned more than what JAVA/PC programmer does.
C++, C#, PHP, CSS, Ajax, Javascript...these are what i'm using in my current projects now...hehehe
LOL...how you combined those?
Me.. some of my web application projects are using Ruby on Rails, some PHP. Sa work pud.. where making smart clients, we are using C#.
Why? hmp... I use Ruby on Rails sa uban web applications coz, say, naanad mn gud ko MVC and for me ruby is a powerful and promising language. I also use PHP coz -> mao ipagamit sa client. Well sa work, smart clients nga application, I'm using C# ky mao mn pud ipagamit sa amo counter part.
eh. mvc is not language dependent, im using c#, and php on the side, sometimes vb6 but not too often. i need to learn new language or technology sometime probably java or pearl i need my asp.net skills to boost up lol.
@silent-kill : it's PERL, not "pearl". (Practical/Program Extraction and Report Language). It's quite easy to use, if you know C, then you don't have problem adjusting to its convention.
PERL is also a nice language which was originally called 'pearl' until it changed it's name but note: perl and Pearl are not the same.,
i'm referring to PEARL(Process and Experiment Automation Realtime Language) heard of that?
PEARL (programming language - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
http://www.irt.uni-hannover.de/pub/pearl/report.pdf
wtf...I never thought there exist such a language..hehehehe
My mistake, I stand corrected. :P
