Default On Near Death Experience (NDE)

    ==========================================

    Hi All,

I'm a Seeker and in my research and meeting with some folks here in Cebu, I met some individuals who had a Near Death Experience.

I'm prompted to create this discussion after one of our members shared me her own experience. The night before she visited her grandma in the hospital, she asked me of the meaning of the butterfly and a bird that flew around her. So as I was chatting with her over Yahoo Messenger, I told her to be ready....that's already a sign about your grandma. When we met the following day, she told me that her grandma started seeing some of their dead relatives who visited her inside the hospital.

Another example is a guy who is no longer active sa forum because he's working na sa Call Center.

Anyways, according to him during his NDE...he was on mid-air and saw his own body lying on the ground. His family were trying to revive his body. After his NDE, he became sensitive na...he can see spirits or ghost, his third eye is open to name a few.

In my understanding and reading with different sources about NDE accounts, most of the medical cases (there was a doctor who did some documentation about this one) states that some of their patients saw a tunnel and at the end of the tunnel there was a bright light. Another account was that they heard a buzzing sound, others saw their loved ones who passed away and visited them.

I find this interesting and I don't know if some of our online visitors here had the same experience.

I'm curious about your own experience. Do share.

    Thanks.

Have you read the book "My Descent Into Death" by Howard Storm? Interesting kaayo iya story. NDE pud, and ang nakalahi sa iya is that he did not see "a light at the end of the tunnel", at least at first, but he actually saw demons... Artist siya, and he was in Europe (He's American) kay naa siya'y exhibit sa iya art works. Suddenly nagkasakit siya, then after a week or so he claimed he died, kay wala dayun doctor naka-attend niya. Niingun siya nga after many days in the hospital suffering from extreme pain, he suddenly experienced leaving his body, and all the pain was gone. He could see his wife, but she couldn't hear him. Then a man called out to him from the room, inviting him to follow him. He followed him because he was frustrated that no one could hear him, and he was desperate to know what's happening to him (I guess he didn't believe in life after death kay he said he was an atheist man). He followed the man to another room, and he found himself suddenly enveloped by darkness. Then voices appeared from all directions and began to taunt him and insult him. These "voices" eventually hurt him and tried to bite him. They all wanted a piece of him and tear him apart. Because of utter desperation and horror, he suddenly blurted out God's name, and he recited an old prayer which he learned when he was a child. The voices and the beating stopped and all of sudden he felt alone. Then he began to see a tiny light at a distance which grew bigger and bigger. Eventually he found himself surrounded by a great light and he actually claimed to have seen Jesus who comforted him, and he felt so at peace and so loved, that he cried and cried for many hours... Wala na nako matiwas ang book kay I was reading it in a bookshop. I don't know whether to believe it or not, pero nevertheless fascinating kaayo iya story.

    He eventually became a minister.

I think there are prevalent issues about NDEs... like hynosis can sometimes lead to NDE or out-of-body experiences. But, I'll let science discover them because in the end this will enhanced our understanding about paranormal studies.

    Hello Josephdc,

    What's your profession?

I was having goose bump while reading your post mainly because there a lot of cases, even documented by some individuals or doctors that explains NDE. Kaya nga I'm interested to do some documentation and interview some patients inside the hospital - only time will tell.

In that book you read inside the bookshop also describes that there are spiritual beings (like Jesus) and other demons. It also explains that even if our body is dead but our MIND (or consciousness?) is still active even if they're spirit / ghost na. Can you imagine how a spirit or ghost can communicate to the living they left behind? The reason why I'm intrigued about these experiences is because what if we are on that scenario? How can we communicate the living? How can we give them peace by telling them that we are okay where we are right now (spirit world) so the living can move on.

I guess that is also the reason why spirit or ghost communicates to their loved ones through dreams or through mental telepathy, which I experienced months ago. Kanang ni kalit lang ug pop up sa ako mind ang message nga "Visit your Lolo" and only to find out that his birthday is coming 6 days after I got that message. I was awake at that time while having some late dinner. Can you imagine that I was on that same frequency or plane that I was able to link that message consciously? It was a message from my grandma.

Cebu Paranormal Society had some questing months ago, when that particular family member accepted the truth about her ____ death. And all of a sudden the environment inside the circle or inside the room changed back to normal. So you see, the living sometimes affects the spirit or the soul to move forward. If the family members learn to accept, the spirit can move towards the light.

Amazing! Yes it's true because some accounts or interviews conducted by some researchers nga these individuals who experienced NDE became a religious person because of what they experienced. There was even a case that I read in that particular book nga another person, after having NDE he started to heal other people na.

The question now is "Do they have a mission why they were sent back here on earth?"

Yes, it would be very interesting to conduct a study on that. I'm a nurse. Are you in the health care profession also bro?

It's intriguing how souls seem to communicate through dreams. There must be something mystical about dreaming hehe.

We had a clinical instructor who was one of those who died in the ill-fated Princess of the Stars. At first we nurtured hope that she's still alive, but as the days went by and we heard no news of her, we sort of assumed that she was already dead. Then a few weeks after her sister claimed that she appeared to her in a dream. She was telling her something.

I wonder what happens to us when we sleep. Does our consciousness simply shut off? How do souls make themselves appear in our minds? It's a real mystery, and perhaps we may never find out the truth.

It happend to my father, too. Many years ago, I had a lolo who died when their house caught fire somewhere in Sancianco. We were having our lunch that day, when all of a sudden my father stood up and turned on the AM radio. He seldom listens to the AM radio so he was quite puzzled why he had the urge to turn on the radio at that moment. Nashock lang mi naminaw sa news.

    That's very interesting.
