    Some previous posts are obviously flamebait, but I'll bite.

    This can be explained through the psychological phenomenon called "cognitive dissonance", an uncomfortable feeling caused by holding two contradictory ideas simultaneously.

    Example:
    1. "I needed to work part-time while studying because I had no money."
    2. "I didn't succeed the way I wanted to."
    3. "I shouldn't have worked while studying in order to succeed". (contradicts statement 1)
    4. "I want to look like successful." (contradicts statement 2).
    5. "I need a college degree in order to be successful."

    Now, when one sees a carefree college drop-out who is happy with his life, this immediately contradicts statement 5, causing cognitive dissonance. In order to avoid this, one rationalizes himself by saying, "College drop-outs are miserable in life. They end up working labor jobs." More cognitive dissonance is felt when presented with proof that drop-outs are happy, so they post inflammatory posts instead.

    Oh well, this is life. Mas maayo pa manganta na lang ta ug Imagine by John Lennon. Magkasinabot pa nuon mga tao... hehehe...

    Same as wishing to have such cognitive science in cebu ) not to drop huh? hehehehe

    2 and 3 might have some reason behind
    What makes 3 contradicts to 1 by the way?

    PHP Code:
    while studying:
        if
    No_Money:

    do_work()
            continue
        else:
            if
    not Successful:

    pass

    try:

    droping_out():

    except:
            if
    Life not Happy:

    play(Life'John Lenon'

    well i'll stick with what i have said from the other threads... "you dont need a PAPER to be successful in life, all you need is skills, the knowledge and the right approach to things you want to do... just be imaginative and innovate and most important na NEED is COMMON SENSE...." sus kung wala ka ana unsaon na lang... bisag naa pa nmu tnan skills, etc nya wala kay common sense d gihapon ka ma successful ana... hahaha..
    Karon ra ko kabantay ani nga thread sad dah. Parehas mi gi barogan ni tynum and I couldn't have said it any better.

    In my field of work it all boils down to the quality of work and what various skills you bring to the company/studio. Plus the fact that there is no 3d animation school here in Cebu, most local 3D artist are self-taught and rely purely on internet forums and tutorials. As long as you are persistent and passionate about what you do, you will succeed.

    What if the drop out with experience likes to go back to school but his income is just enough to feed his family, so I guess he is stuck and can no longer advance his career, what do you think?
