Default Want to come to the US faster?

Take Respiratory Therapy or Speech Pathology. You will be going through the H-1B visa route which is much faster than nurses' immigrant visa. Easier work yet higher rate than nurses and more flexible time too.

Okay sad ang Pharmacy because dako kaayo ang demand pero lisod daw ang board for that.

Dental hygienists are also in demand.

    hourly median rates:

    PT: $33.54
    SP: $29.18
    Pharma: $48.31
    D. Hyg: $31.12

So people who wants to take up nursing, I suggest you think again and think good.

LytSlpr, don't you mean Pharmacy? I don't know kung easier ba nga maka abot sa US instead sa nursing, but I do agree that the boards are extremely tough. One needs to take at least three exams (in some states, there's a fourth one, a practical exam requiring extemporaneous compounding), wala pa gyud na labot ang TOEFL-iBT. Not to mention a mandatory internship period of at least a year before a license can be granted. Mas okay siguro ang PT or Speech Pathologist kay murag usa ra ka exam i-take before maka lisensya. OK pud nang Dental Hygienist kay nindot kaayo ilang hours, hayahay pa sa tanang hayahay.
