Amen to this. I am from Mindanao and I must say those war-ravaged areas are isolated, just a small portion of Mindanao. But the way media is describing our place, it's as if, we Mindanaoans, are war freaks and would chop anyone's head off for no apparent reason at all.

We are peace-loving people.

Being from Mindanao myself, mo agree gyud ko. Gamay ra man kaayo nga portion sa mga tawo sa Mindanao nga gusto gyud ug gubot. I'm from Northern Mindanao where it's relatively peaceful so I was naturally anxious when I went to Zamboanga City for the first time, tungod sa mga balita. Peaceful man didto, dili man hadlok.
