Update:
I made a letter requesting for a permit for a motorcade to be held on the said date. Eric Tan forwarded the letter to CITOM this afternoon. The bad news is that the secretary informed him that they stopped allowing motorcades a long time ago. Still, since Mayor Tommy seems to be sympathetic, he may still grant our request.
We have to be prepared for two eventualities:
1. if we are granted a permit for Cebu City only, then we will have to move the assembly venue and plan a shortened route that goes within Cebu City limits only.
2. If we are not granted a permit at all, then we have to find some other way of staging our ride that will not incur some kind of negative reaction from the authorities. We may have to move in small, separate groups. We may also have to go to different points of the city instead of moving as one body. Then we can say that we are having many, separate rides of private groups. This happens all the time and there's no need for a permit to do that.
Let's all hope we get that permit!
apil ko ana bro, naglagot na sab ko anang LTO da, lami na man kaayo magrebelde, sobra na gyud kaayo na ilang guidelines, wala na'y human rights....hapit naman gyud christmas mao nga nagkwarta na sila karon.....
kung pwede we'll post in other forums. nationwide!
mas ok kung kanang welga dyud. kanang atbang sa LTO office. kanang naay shagit shagit.
Support the protest! LTO is just doing another money-making thing. Kurakot again, this time victimizing the poor motorcycle riders.
support ko ana mga bro.. na unsa nman ning LTO oi..
