I would strongly advice not to use this method, it will corrode your enamel. If you are displeased with your smiles consult with your dentist and see if its possible for you to get treatment with hydrogen peroxide at your dentists office or as home cure.
Please take care of your teeth you are stuck with them for a long time.

No, you can’t, sorry! Baking soda has cleaning agents that the powder doesn’t have, so powder’s not going to work. Also, i suggest doing this instead of the baking soda, because the baking soda wears down your enamel, which could be very bad. Sal posted this earlier, and i haven’t tried it yet, but it seems plausible AND healthy for your teeth:

First step: Brush your teeth for about 2 minutes, BUT WAIT!! DO NOT SPIT OUT THE PASTE, UNTIL YOU READ THE SECOND STEP!!
Second step: keep the paste in your mouth for about 10 minutes (it’s easier if you are about to step into the shower, so you can spit it out after your finished showering).
Do this at least twice a day, for 2-3 weeks and everyone will begin to ask you ” my God, can’t you get your teeth any whiter? What did that cost you? $300?”
Try this first with regular name brand toothpaste. Tarter control works faster.

Just so all of you know, baking soda is not all that phenomenal for your teeth. It just acts as an abrasive that scrubs your teeth very well. If it is used too often though, it can be highly damaging to your teeth.

The best method to cheaply whiten your teeth is to swish with hydrogen peroxide twice a day. You will notice a slight difference within three days.

The proof? Simple. Hydrogen peroxide is just water with an extra oxygen molecule. (H2O2) When it hits any surface, it bubbles and will remove stain.

It will not harm your teeth at all, and it will actually lead to a cleaner healthier mouth. The taste isn’t so fantastic, but it’s defiitely bareable.

1tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp hydrogen peroxide

mix together n i.brush sa imo teeth.. pwde rsd imo isagol sa imo toothpaste..

mka see jd ka sa difference in 1 week.. dugaya lng sd ug brush.

Yep...Dentist ko and I'd also recommend this to you or anyone who wants to get their teeth white!! It really is effective and dili sad kaayo mahal!! Way back in college, while mag Root canal me, we also used Chlorine (Zonrox) mixed with saline solution to clean up inside the pulp coz once patay na ang teeth, it causes discoloration. But I dont think it is effective as well in cleaning sa outer surface kay medyo caustic man ni sya na agent!! But anyway, yep baking soda & hydrogen peroxide is good!! You can add iodized salt to baking soda when you brush also. That gives your brush extra particles nga mu rub on to your teeth surface para mas ma clean and remove ang discolorations etc!!!

Agua oxinada is 3% Hydrogen Peroxide and 97% water..this is the common solution found in drugstore or pharmacies..

Hydrogen Peroxide + Muriatic acid = pwede ni pang etching sa PCB hehehehe
