Yes I'm a couchsurfer. I couchsurf in the US and costa rica recently. Ive done it in UK and in the southeast asia aswell. I am also hosting someone right now. Not at all scary. Its a cultural exchange for world travellers young and old. But ofcourse its not for everybody simply because not everyone has a backpacking spirit. We do have couch surfers in cebu were you can join and share experience with.

Diehard, have you gone to any meet ups yet in cebu? we had a gathering at the outpost last friday and there is another schedule this friday at the same venue. Its a good chance to meet fellow csers/backpackers and exchange travel notes over a bottle of beer. check out the couch by the lounge and you wont miss the surfers. see yah!

Wow...thanks sa info guys. Actually, beginner pa lang ko. Ganahan jud unta ko magtravel before but I'm busy with studies. Now that I am finished, I'd like to pursue my inclination to travel.

@diehard96: Na, dili jud ko ganahan musuroy ug syudad. Ganahan pud unta ko ug nature2x like the one I saw in the internet. A couple of backpackers who went to Banaue. Then nice pud mag-explore ug laing cultures though, medyo kuyaw lang kay basin maka-timing ka ug mga bad people.hehe

@gypsy: thanks for the site. It was very helpful. I'll read on it some other time. I only have a few time to spare kay work pa ko, mabyaan niya ko sa barko.hehehe What can you suggest man to people like me nga beginner pa lang?

kun ganahan kag cultural immersion, di man cguro kaayo na lisod. and di cguro kaayo na gasto in terms of equip. ang akong backpacking trip kay camping man, away from any sign of civilization.
