We need some help.
Bitaw, I'm practically the only Filipino guy there in pnutproject. My partner is a Texan (testers and package contributors are from UK or Canada or Germany, they do it on their free time). We're also involved in helping and testing out aLinux/peanut linux (ang pnutproject was originally made to add package management capabilities to the then peanut linux 9.5 - ang resulta ana, apt4rpm repositories for aLinux - and advantage is, the founder of aLinux/former peanutlinux and sole maintainer gives me cds from Canada for FREE hahahaha - just received my 12.5 version from him, although you can still get it from the ibiblio.org/peanut site of course for free). Pnutproject in its current form is slackware 10.1 based with aLinux/peanut scripts - hybrid gyud kaayo, as is aLinux, which evolved by being Debian at first, then mixed with Looplinux/Doslinux/slackware, then with RedHat rpm capabilities, then recently with apt4rpm from Connectiva/SuSe.
Ads lang ni bay... aLinux 12.6 is coming soon, hopefully with a GUI style install (I'm currently making it in gambas - still experimental will be running it in a TinyX environment), gaim-vv CVS with yahoo webcam support (gyach-e is still inside the main install also with webcam support, available also in 12.5), chix chikka gaim plugin installed, and wineX/cedega CVS rpms (hopefully Jay Klepacs compiles it soon).
We definitely need help though - ang amoang free time (I do compiling sa balay for pnutproject, evenings and weekends like Sunday) is very limited. I tell you, building an OS from scratch is definitely NOT a good idea, especially if you want to see it work out immediately. I've heard of nightmares just upgrading your glibc and others!
God bless.

Well actually that's not very literal. I did saw it on TV, but I am not defining "garage" literally.Originally Posted by BadDudes
Anyways, so what's the news with this one? WILL THIS PUSH THROUGH?
it is a promising one. but far from realization. practically speaking.

The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it.
The only benefit that we can achieve here is the core concept of the OS system..... Distribution? Too far from reality...
it's somewhat superficial ...
instead of an OPERATING SYSTEM. why not just a business enterprise framework just like struts ... only this time written in a
different language like C#?
