leo avenido was rookie of the year sa uaap. bt was too young to enter pba. then for nba the biggest flop ever was sam bowie. he was even drafted ahead of michael jordan. how about ron mercer he was the star of kentucky. Ron Mercer was twice named "Mr.Basketball" of Tennesee while at Goodpasture Christian School in Madison, Tennesee. He then transferred to Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson,Virginia and was rated by Bob Gibbons to be the best prep player of the class of 1995, over Kevin Garnett and Stephon Marbury. he was part of the kentucky champion team in 1996 that was coach by rick patino. they both joined boston celtics in 1997. ron lasted only 8 seasons with seven different teams.
