]DELL TO ESTABLISH CUSTOMER CONTACT CENTER IN PHILIPPINES
New Metro-Manila Center to Initially Employ 700
August 10, 2005 – Dell will open a customer contact center in the Metro-Manila area early next year to provide technical support for U.S. consumer customers. A site in Makati City, Philippines, has been selected for a recruiting and training operations base.
Dell will initially recruit and hire for 70 key leadership and administrative positions later this month with plans to hire and train approximately 700 technical support agents later this year. Temporary offices will be in the RCBC Plaza Tower in Makati. Due diligence to identify the customer contact center location should be completed this fall in order to begin operations in February 2006.
