Hmmm...wow so there really isnt any training center teaching JAVA, SQL, Flash (ie web dev)

How about Ngkhai? do they have courses on these?

Anyway, Javasphere was a complete bust, I say again a BUST

Allright I went to website and they seemed to have offered couple of courses i was interested in, ie Flash course, a bit of Java and Sql - after talking to a woman who answered phone (seemed to have scripted answers) , i needed someone who could give me proper course description and maybe chatting as to how we want to accomplish certain things and goals. So she gave me to another woman who kinda knew what she was talking about and told me they would contact me as soon as they had an open schedule, possibly the following week.

A week passed no call, so I called again and asked them if they had a class going, they said possible the following week the most, so i get a call 2nd time around to come in and schedule,I did. Drove up there kinda excited with the fact im starting one. When I arrived to my surprise it felt like the place was closed, at 3pm deserted computer rooms, 2 girls one at the desk and comp room with bored faces. So I asked them when I could take the Flash course, the woman said mmmmm...when we get a teacher and students but they dont really start it since no one asks about it hence unless they get enought ppl so I said hmmmmm, and she went on saying we offer basic web design training since there are a couple of people inquiring. So this tells me a couple of things

One they dont have fixed scheduled classes unless they have enough people inquiring about it (so if no one asks then no class)
2nd if they offer basic web design its of no use to me and thts that.
3rd just to see if they ever start even one class , i asked when web design class would start, and they tell me ohhh maybe next week - Goshhhh how many weeks till they start one class

Folks know any other good Schools for Flash, Java or Sql?

thank God na search nako ni nga thread...I hva aa friend murag para nako master ni sa flash.

just do self study... and make google as ur teacher.

agreed. we shouldn't rely much on trainings or schools. its better to do it ourselves.

also, self studying is a good way to discipline yourself with lots of patience. remember, programmers are very patient people
