The Creative Writing Program of the University of the Philippines in the Visayas Cebu College is inviting you to attend a one-day Writers Symposium on the Creative Writing Process - Mugna sa Pagsulat - at the UPV CEBU COLLEGE Conference Hall on September 12, 2008, from 8 am to 5 pm.

The Resource Speakers are respected writers in the literary and journalism fields, namely: Resil Mojares, Merlie Alunan, Lawrence Ypil, and Mayette Tabada. This will be a good chance to hear these writers’ voices in person as they talk about writing and the creative process. They will share their views on creative non-fiction, short-story, poetry, and creative journalism, respectively. This will also provide venue for the participants to interact with the speakers during the open forum after every input.

Registration fee is One Thousand Two Hundred Pesos (Php 1,200.00) inclusive of kit, lunch, and snacks. There are limited seats available, so please reserve as early as possible. yup, you can register on the day itself. but it would be better if you reserve ahead as there are only 50 seats available. i believe there are still more than 10 slots available now.
