Cobol, Fortran, PowerBuilder these are still needed i was interviewing before and they wanted these and they get paid 50K USD a year
who are these guys you both using COBOL & FORTRAN? and Powerbuilder for what? IDE? cheers...
these are of clients robert half technology(Robert Half Technology ? Information Technology Consultants ? IT Staffing Services ,it & programming firm, contract - permanent positions.)
all i know when i did the interview that the job was for a company that works with the us gov so citizen was a must-have, so there was no way i could get it with my lack of cobol and fortran and even little powerbuilder skill,
i could sum it that the company was either a "financial" tied with the us gov, or a facility of the us gov,
the thing with roberthalf is with the big clients they have, they dont want to let you know what the company name is, because i have been told by my previous recruiter back in 2006 he said " if we did that, we wont make the $ because you would probably google it and apply direct and we dont want that"
also that company was looking for embedded system programmers which i dont have no experience with. so my plan next year is to get my masters in uwm, get new certified and after 11 years of being an immigrant ill finally pursue citizenship (hey i was a kid i didnt know what i want )
