Try to think of it...the eee pc 701 has only 4gb space so better use the Nlite XP.
The XP Pro eat a lot of space that's I have Maxtor external drive it has 160GB for my useful applications & games. Others use SD cards to save their other application there which is more cheaper.
But before I used portable applications that can be installed to your USB sticks.
This stuff can be installed on any portable drive, i.e. USB thumbdrive, PDA or an iPod. You can use them at work, school, or any other place where you can plugin your device.
Check this link its for free guys...
Here's my lappy...

Maxtor 160gb HD

hey guys join us on the next Meet and Greet. Will be planning for a 2nd MnG.
guys i hope you will open your minds that these umpc/NETBOOKS are not for heavy usage. This is for the light net warrior who will use it as a secondary lappie for just browsing and some light office work. That's why in the first place it came with the light OS UBUNTU or other linux platform.
To be able to install XP nlited is already an added capability but note that the first gen eepc 401/surf/4G/8G were not meant for xp. That's why asus made way for the 900/901 with better specs to run XP.
As for the HP mini, its bound to be slow on vista as its specs just reach that minimum requirements. While ergonomically it is pleasant and very eye candy, its performance lag behind the newer ASUS eeepc 901/1000H.
