Hi Mac,

I got a good laugh with your sky dive idea.
But whatever it is, I would appreciate the CITAA talking to Administration to allow alumni with bona fide IDs to enter the campus. Afterall, CIT was not built by Administration and Faculty alone. To a very large extent, the students were a great contributor. Its prestige was even built by Kings like Charlie.... the guys whom CIT proudly proclaims in "CIT TOPS AGAIN" ads.... and the many CIT alumni, both here and abroad who make not only the fellow alumni proud, but the entire Filipino people proud as well.

every semester na man ang ID validation; nya, mora'g third year na
kining RF ID sa mga students ug empleyado. Pero ang mga old students,
wa pa man nag RF ID tingali.

Daghan man gud security issues: intrams man tong hingpatyan tag
estudyante nga taga CDO, outsider ang nipatay kay pwede man sulod
tungod sa open house policy nato sa una; plus, naa sa una ang mga
activists nga taga laing school, mosud sa atong campus para tabang sa
mga kalihokan, mao man gani mag-una ug blockade sa gates during those
demos before, kay salig di sila ilhan sa atong students; daghang
nakawatan ug kwarta ug cellphones natong mga estudyante ug mga
maestro, kay dihay drop out nato nga nakasulod gamit iyang karaan na
ID---mao nga naa na jud validation every semester; plus, the issue of
terrorist threats; plus the fraternity wars between the Tau Gamma and
Akrho. Hingpatyan sad ta ug estudyante, sa backgate ug gawas sa
school to nahitabo, pwede na mahitabo sa sulod, mao kutob sa mahimo,
naay measures to minimize the occurrence of these untoward incidents.

Ang alumni ID man god nato, dili recognized nga passport to enter the
campus, kay pwede ra daw ni mahuwaman, ug pwede ra ma-copya sa Recto
ug uban pa, mao, mas maayo nga naay pre-arrangement sa alumni office
kon gusto mo-visit.

Maski gani mga seminars/trainings/ lecture series sa una, mag-submit
jud mi ug letter kay sir Greg Escario, with the complete list of
student participants.

Mao, nga siguro, pasensyahan na lang nato ang policy sa school para
sa aong SAFETY ug sa atong mga estudyante pod. Kon willing ta mo-
submit sa policies nga ingon ini sa ubang companies/businesse s,
siguro, mosabot na lang ta sa CIT.

During school acitivities, close man usually mga offices, busa, kon
ang tuyo sa nato mga alumni para mo-tan-aw sa activities, please make
prior arrangements with the alumni office before the activity, or,
ask the guard to contact your heads or deans, better still, take note
of Shirley's cellphone number, since she is usually in the office,
and so are the dean/heads/chairs.

Siguro, pwede nato ipa-RF atong alumni ID, but we need to discuss
this issue with the school management.

DEAR Shirley and Charlie,

SILICON Valley Alumni will use 'STEALTH MODE' to enter the CIT Campuses

Recall : CIRCA 1970 : During the Highest Protest against CIT management with Barricades set-up by the KMU Kabataang Makabayan at all CIT campuses.

Pickets were established by the demonstrators. One incident : The Student I think the name was DUONG, got shot by the CIT SECURITY Guards (""GOONS"") sometime during that year.

It was during these times that the FINAL EXAMs were scheduled. The CIT administration and instructors warned the student body that those who fail to attend the classes and fail to take the written exams were considered pro-demonstrators and be given flat 1.0 grades for every subject missed. Demonstrator and picketers persuaded and warned intensely the male engineering students to side with them. Any college student who crosses the picket line will be man -handled per KMU orders. Although high school students were not the target of KMU.

What did the CIT EE students do Stealth Mode!! We wore the high school white polo shirt with Khaki long pants, posed like HIGH SCHOOL KIDS. We exchanged books and notebooks with the high school students upon entering the CIT campus. Slide rules were in the bags of female high school students friends. That was our first "Stealth MODE" low tech method. We all took the exams and got good ratings.

We might apply a high tech method passing through the guards. Charlie and Shirley please redeem us if we get caught. Ha, ha, ha... Shirley , Thanks for providing us your phone reference numbers. We may sky dive entering the CIT campuses, anyways.

This issue needs CIT's considerations but we should also
consider the security aspect of it.

Is it really impractical to get a permission from the
alumni office ? I believe this is the right compromise and
CIT should not disapprove CITAA office endorsement.

We shall see what the outcome will be after we meet with
CIT .

Hmmm... CIT Tops AGAIN!... Dri ko ng hskol from 1st year to 4th year 1994-1998 dli pa kaau nindot ang CIT sauna... then ng college ko CIT ghapon Computer Science 1998-2003... Karon sobra na kaau ka nindot as in ang mga buildings nindot na ang library sad og tanan facilities... Hayahay na kaau ang mga bag-ong tubo...hehehe... I Miss my co-technologians!!! Mga Teknoy!!!

@clarkhkent - actually daghan kaayong response and comments ang gihimo sa mga taga America ug Manila nga Alumni about ini nga topic. In fact hangtod karon naa pa gihapon mga comments. I do not know kon indefinite leave si Bennie but what I know she returned as a normal housewife after her previous stint sa CIT kay ang iyang bana si Rodrigo Bacalso, 1977 King of Engineers, tua man sa Manila nagtrabaho. Nangita si Bennie ug mapuy-an nga fully furnished ug duol sa CIT, so could you help her?. Every two weeks mouli man siya sa Manila. Currently busy sad siya sa CITAA Luzon Chapter. Ang CITAA Davao Chapter kay operational na and morag next month ilang trabahoon and CITAA Cagayan de Oro Chapter.
