Its no problem with dynamic IP, if you have a domain name.
Just create a free account at dnsexit.com, point your domain's dns server to their, download the ip update tool from dnsexit.com, and it will always update your IP, so your domain name will point all the time to your PC. I did that for a long time, with 2 dynamic IP's and have even webserver and ftp server running at home.

I said "get a free account at dnsexit.com", I did not mention a free domain!
Anyway, a domain is sure cheaper yearly than a static IP (globe charge you 900+/month for a static IP, and PLDT offer them only with biz packages), and a domain cost you just below $10/year!

900+/month? pila man diay ma bayad sa globelines for dynamic?

    likewise here.

i used free ones to cater my ftp server, virtual private network, surveillance, website, etc.

i dont need to spend money to get that static ip numbers because for me, word is easier to memorize than numbers. i dont have the money either to get those static ip and domain name. lol ^^

    @ rommel

as per my experience, dynamic ip is globe's default least catering, so with other isp here, its their static is an option that has additional costs.

kani mga bro ako ra ni nga opinion ha..

You need one Public IP / Static IP.

Then u need one FTP Server , which can be configured on windows os or linux or unix os, now it depends on you which one would u prefer,

Lets assume you have windows xp desktop.
just install the free ftp server which you can download from internet using the google.

    thats it.

Link : Golden FTP server - download free ftp server software for windows
easy for use.....means for basic users.

Advanced user : go with Linux....and just start the service : vsftpd
    and play with configuration file.
