ang jeep ingun naku ing-ana everywhere. and I experienced that firsthand sa MM, Cebu, CdO and even dito sa Davao!! so tanan na sya. That is in response to the what a poster said na manghunong ang davao jeep sa tunga sa dalan. (murag gipalabas na davao lang). sorry if you misintepretted it. lain lang siguro sabot nimo

and, ang cheap motel/inn is in response to bisdak's outrageous negative campaign against condos, that was according daw to his experience...so daghan siguro didto sa ila ana...and i was talking about a place not CdO (Australia ata yun), kasi hindi sa CdO na-experience ni bisdak yan...but outside CdO. besides walang condo sa CdO so I have no reason to make that reference

Davao is dabest city in mindanao... period!

It's not the perfect city but overall, it ranks higher than Manila and Cebu as the "most liveable city" in asia according to Asiaweek.

Nice people, governance, music scene, culture, tourist spots, beaches, babes... and durian!!!

well, good thing ur team is not like those people i have mentioned. i dont generalize but thats REALITY. kahit sino pa tanungin mo thats reality. i just do hope you are ready to face those kind of people. wake up and smell the real world, you really cant force what you wanted and expect from others, we really cant expect other people to act like us. mine is just REALITY, i know you know what i mean.

Facing such kind of people is indeed part of reality, and I believe you will not disagree when I say that I have faced such kinds and find theirs UGLY. However the reality you perceive will only concretize in mirroring the environment over there so as to define your kind of reality. It is in one's environment that one finds the DIFFERENCE with the other, for your environment may not be applicable to another's environment. I have a different environment and therefore I have my perspective of reality that defines my kind of environment. And the environment that enable me to apply and say that people I choose for my team are NOT ugly, and you cannot disagree with it either. And I didn't have to force those people either, they choose to live by their principle without being forced to.

In REALITY there is black and white, positive and negative, there UGLINESS and there is BEAUTY. And it is our DECISION to it that will create and define the reality of our environment.

Now I hope you are ready to face such kinds of people like us. Unless you are ready to do so, you cannot wake up and smell what the real world really is.

I totally agree with this. How we decide for ourselves create our REALITY. Davies you decide to agree that such ugliness is part of your REALITY relative to your environment, then we do not deny it. However if we decide not to agree that such ugliness will be part of our REALITY relative to our environment, you cannot deny it either. Either way, your reality relative to your environment cannot be denied, our reality relative to our environment cannot be denied either.

I guess, both of your replies support the observations of the other posters regarding their experiences about CdO attitude towards promoting their City, and that is at the expense of others.

I hope this kind of dog-eat-dog Culture will be rectified. Since, this is an ugly business practice, no matter how you look at it. typical crap mentality (I mean crab); throw dirt at your competition so you may look good. that sounds so much like dirty politics. I hope, we stop justifying this attitude, since greed will pull anyone down.

He has created UGLINESS to the environment he is in, and if those in his environment decide to agree that it is part of their reality, then it will DEFINE the REALITY of their environment.

I agree....Business is Business...you do "everything" to sell it. This is so true anywhere on the planet.
I'm sure salespeople of different condo will do the sames, even if they are from the sames city. That's just the way it is. It's kind of amatuer thinking if they do otherwise.

....so buy a free standing house from the suburb instead

why did you sound painfully bitter with condominium living? if you have money get a decent respectable condominium unit where you can have decent cultured and well educated neighbours. neighbours who gets embarassed making noise and equally frowns at loud rough neighbours. there are many things to enjoy living peacefully in vertical villages. you get invites every now and then from neighbours for private party of all sorts tub spa for 2. you get the chance to live next door to a movie actor, politician etc you can never tell.

in davao, its a private gated complex. provided with security. therei is always someone in the strata mangement to call for you complains. the unit is turned over to you brand new. if there are defects, there is management to ran to for complaints. am sure repairs costs will not be passed on to you as added fee. but developers in davao are big names in the industry and have good reputations it tells. in davao, it is a convenience to live close to all facilities especially to where you are working. close to accessible transport to any tourist destinations and resorts. if youre not from davao, it is a very wise decision to own a condo home, it gives you assurance of homey place to stay ech time you come for a visit than looking for hotel room of your choice on the spot that isnt always available especially during festival season and holidays in davao and philippines. thats your investment of lifetime. so bisayadako, i suggest you buy one in davao. now.

and... you have a free flowing mineralised by nature sweet quality drinking water drawn from the deepest underground water table of the foothills of mount apo ranges, right out of you faucets.

Here's another story:

A friend of mine was riding a bus from Iligan to CDO. Gipangutana siya sa iyang katapad sa bus kung taga asa siya. Tubag akong amigo nga taga Davao siya. Hala grabe na ang pang daot sa iyang katapad, kesyo pangit daw ang Davao, mingaw, maski coffee shops gagmay ra kaayo, na wala daw kunoy masuroyan sa Davao. Nag hilom nalang akoang amigo. Wala na niya gipatulan.

Tsk tsk.

Sa tinood lang, I have yet to see someone from CDO who has something good to say about Davao. Yeah, even ilang Emano ngil-ad pud kaayo ang gipagawas nga article about three years ago about Davao.

So now CDO people, tell us, ngano man gyud mo nagbagutbot sa Davao?

Tama jud ka abogadong cute...... bag-o lang ni ha, ganina lang..... nisakay kog taxi ganina kay nag ulan...... unya wala na may non-air taxi mao nang aircon na lang akung gisakyan. Ni ingon ko sa driver nga gikan sa CDO nganong wala nay non-air... ni tubag siya nga gipang sunog na daw.......

Gi sunog kay para mo pareha na daw ang Davao sa mga Taxi sa CDO..... nangutana akung amigo kung asa diay gwapo puy-an sa CDO ug Davao? Nitubag siya nga sa CDO jud kay daghan daw ug kwarta ug mas dali ra makatrabaho didto. Ang mga bag-ong gradwyt daw kay dapat didto mag trabaho kay mas daghan daw ug trabaho didto kaysa sa Davao.

Ing-ana na jud nang mga taga CDO maghunahuna...... sila jud ang pinakagwapo nga lugar.....
pero bias o dili sa dihang pag adto sa akung amigo didto sa CDO kay dili man ka level ang CDO sa DAvao UY! ang ilang lugar kay mura man jud ug probinsya...... Well.... according sa akung amigo.... pero sa mga pic nga naka post diri.... tinood man.
