    Default Film making anyone?

nah, i believed you. no need to accuse me of doubting you. ive been into this topic ever since it started. i know you're serious and all. my last post was literally amazement, not ambiguity.
im just glad to see it happen so soon and so are most of us. its just that its a cebuano film and shes tagalog and all. i wouldve thought it would be a young cast of unfamiliar faces. i think that would be the best cast for a film like this. promoting cebuano actors sounds quite right. although i dont think maui taylor can act, aubrey miles can do better! hehehe

    No problem, dear friend.

By the way, if ever we cast Maui Taylor, it will be largely cameo --- say a face in a party crowd or a hint of her in Church. Whichever, the film we plan to crank out this year will be mainly Cebuano/Visayan talents, from producers down to the last rigging gaffer.

And, oh, in my opinion, neither Maui Taylor nor Aubrey Miles can act. I waited last night to watch Aubrey Miles do drama in a Sarsi Emmanuel story via MMK. She was miles and miles away in a corner. Elizabeth Oropesa, her co-star, only had to stare with her big round eyes to upstage Aubrey Miles. Frankly, Taylor and Miles only have their pretty face with which to romp. They have nothing else to show.

i assume the films will be in cebuano. if it goes national, is it gonna be subbed in tagalog? dubbing it would be more appropriate, or subbing it to english would be good too.

Dubbing is out of the question. Subtitling it would be more appropriate. But we will attempt to show it in Cebuano/Visayan in non-Cebuano/Visayan speaking areas. If it will not work, then we will subtitle.

For your information, there are two Cebuano/Visayan film projects in the pipeline. The one with the Sine Sugbo Inc. group is to commence filming this coming November; many iSTORYA.net members are involved in this project (Nino is the working title)

Then sometime in the middle of 2004, Blongkoy might do either "Leon Kilat" or "Inday, Paabuta Ako sa Langit" under the auspices of Mowelfund Film Institute. This film, hopefully, will form part of an international touring film festival, yet to be organized by Mowelfund to promote the Philippines in 2005. Blongkoy is keeping his fingers crossed.

This coming February 2004, under the auspices of Mowelfund Film Institute, Blongkoy's latest feature, "Nagbreakfast ka na ba?", will premier at Glorietta in Makati, along with entries from Sine Ilonggo (Iloilo) and Sine Negrense (Bacolod). "Nagbreakfast" is now undergoing re-editing by a new lady editor if only to surface well the women's issues carried by the film; only with this re-editing can this film be shown in February 2004.

There are also plans to include in the February 2004 Visayan Film Festival at Glorietta Satoy's short "Tamatis" and Jomark's "Ako". The problem with these shorts by Satoy and Jomark is that these have not been previewed by Mowelfund due to Satoy's bike accident the day they were scheduled to be shown. A new schedule is now being worked out after the Iloilo and Bacolod stint of Mowelfund.

nice developments, I haven't been to the meetings lately, I've been busy with a lot of things.

Me and my friends have an idea, could we submit a shortfilm? We're still in the early stages but we're really excited, Our schedules are just getting in the way. Hopefully we can go through it.
