Who has an idea how much an endoscopy costs, and where can I get one?

Lately, I've been having faint traces of blood in my sputum,
and I'm worried about it. I've had cases of ulcer and GERD before,
but I don't seem to be experiencing any pain now.

Anyway, I had cough and colds about 3 weeks ago.
But I don't cough much now; maybe only 2 or 3 times a day, but it's dry.

When I spit (saliva/sputum), coming from the throat, (for about 3 weeks also)
there's some faint traces of blood; the red colour is maybe 5-10% in concentration.

do you smoke?

if you smoke.... how long have you been smoking? how many packs per day?

if its a peptic ulcer....

you will usually have epigastric pain the is relieved by intake of food.

you have a case of hemoptysis.... which is respiratory in nature...

No, I am not a smoker. I don't drink much either.
After months (3-4 at least) off alcohol, i only had one glass last friday evening.

I don't think it is ulcer because I do not feel pain in my stomach,
although I feel pain (sometimes) near the bottom of the sternum,
or in the upper chest area. But it's not sharp pain, though.

just change ur brand from fern c to vital c. i assure that vital c is much better than fern c. there are many fern c users who shifted to vital c. pls pm or txt me for more inquiries about the difference of these two

Akong papa mgpa-endoscopy unta sa Cebu Doc, and ang gasto ato would be 6k (para ra ni xa sa higot alone). So since insured mn to akong papa sa Philamcare, amo bayranan ato ky 6k ra. So in ur case, if dli ka insured, den mga more or less 10k cguro..Not sure though. Bsta sure ko anang 6k na gasto para sa higot na gamiton sa endoscopy.

And btw, it would be better if you consult a doctor first before you'd take any vitamins or food supplements.

is the blood stained sputum related with ur coughing? did u ever experience a certain percentage of wt. loss few months ago? do u have low grade fever that happens only latter portion of the day? have u ever done chest xrays from the past? any hoarseness of ur voice lately. have u ever been vacinated with PTB when u wer young?

if u had GERD or reflux and ulcer, it cud be another thing too...i wud suggest u see a doctor or a specialist. if u think its related with ur cough and colds, go to a Pulmonologist and if u think it cud be ur Hx of GERD and ulcer, then have ur self seen by gastroentorologist/GI doctor.

its simple wat u have is definitely not normal anymore and u have every right to wonder na? its better be safe than sorry diba....wa mawagtang kung adto ka doctor, well money ra nuon for that matter.
