any heat resistant paint, u can find it at any paint store

yes of course you should not use opaque or solid coat on lenses unless you're going to spray them on the housing or on the reflector sides.

to smoke lights, paint them on the housing or on the reflectors. to color the lenses (amber, red, etc.), paint them on the lens surface, better on the inside. it's useless to paint solid opaque colors on the lens unless you're after pure aesthetic appeal or you don't want to see some light coming out.

Share lang nako akong DIY (Destroy It Yourself) nga smoke and amber exp., ako lang gi Oven (wa man koi heatgun) ang headlight para ma open cya then i use BOSNY flat black, after kai gipa oga nya before closing kai ge pang kuha sa nako ang silicon nga nahabilin nya gi butangan ug new silicon para ma seal ang headlight balik... OK raman dili VHT nga paint gamiton... Then sa Ambering signal light kai ge gamit nako kai Yahama Orange nga BOSNY paint ako gi gamit nya top coat dayon... GOOD LUCK and Happy Destroy!!! aw..hehe

if youre goin to use the VHT nightshade, spray some 2pak clear on it, itll give you a nice glossy finish...otherwise the best way to get them smoked would be to tint the clear with a 2pak black...not a basecoat or acrylic, they dont mix well...depends on how its applied, the end result should give you a very nice factory like finish.
