I'm comfortable with using Linux although Solaris is much more powerful considering if you use it on Sun Servers.

Basta para nako labad mag gamit ug Solaris. Maglisud ko compile ug mga programs maskin unsaon pag utinkay. Libog gyud. Dili sad kaayo siya forgiving compared to Linux.

hmm i just wonder why there is such a debate on whos better nixes ..... all of them are basically superior and all of them do have pros and cons ... for me those two or 3s 4s ... and all other nixes are incomparable .. it all depends on your preferences ...

Linux is comparable to other distros of Linux ... Linux to Solaris are comparible in what hardware they support, their feature set, etc ... but as always ... different strokes for different folks.

I got stuck with hardware compatibility issues with solaris, but if I got a chance I sure would like to get my hands into one of those sun servers with solaris

    Sakto.

You cannot compare Solaris and Linux. Correct me if I'm wrong Solaris is UNIX-based which it derived from the original Unix kernel(AT&T) Core while Linux is Minix-based but it start from scratch ang kernel niya.
