Generally & ironically, in the broadband market PLDT provides faster connections and better service. As far as I tried. I was never enticed to switch to Globe.

Murag mo balhin tingali ko og GLOBE kay ang Meridian or Smart Wifi wala ayo diri sa ako.

1. Sige lang ka disconnect
2. Ang internet speed nako kay unstable
3. Ang service nila sucks manawag paka sa ilang toll free *1888 sa manila na siya. I send dayon nila sa email sa CEBU meridian regading sa imong problema . example kung monday ka nanawag murag wednesday pana sila mo anha sa imong balay and sometimes ma limot pa gyud na ang manila og send sa imong problema sa internet. abtan nalang ko og 5 days walay ineternet para na abot ang tig ayo sa amo. KUTI KUTI KA AYO MERIDIAN.
4. Hantod karon wala gihapon na nila na solve ang ilang problema na mawala ang imong internet connection og kalit and dili na ma ag maka ayo nimo kung ikaw ikaw ra. Ang maka ayo ana ilang taw rasad. So mo call paka sa ilan toll free and 2 days pana para ma abot ang ilang taw and maayo ang imong connection.
5. Kung mag rain patay na patay ang imong internet connection. Mas hinay pa sa dial up.

Kung ma timingan ka nindot ang SMART WIFI connection nimo LUCKY ka ayo ka. Kung ma timingan sad ka og BAD CONNECTION mura nakag mo patay sa meridian na taw. hehe

Ma ihap ra nako pila ra ka adlaw na a koy connection example karon na day ila gi ayo ang akong connection igka 2 or 3 days guba nasad.So manawag nasad ko sa ilang toll free. 2 days later Ila nasad gi ayo and 2 or 3 days guba nasad ang akong connnection and ETC........

My post is kinda dated but I would want to put in my two cents of thought in the matter.

Last month, I was offered 995/month 386kbps broadband by globe which i have accepted. Locked contract for a year after which 1.5k na, and if you pre-terminate the penalty is 3k. I am yet to receive my first billing for the dsl connection but they have assured me that there is no 2month advance payment.

On the issue which is better globe or pldt. let me put it this way
Globe's landline is way cheaper than PLDT so it can off-set the price
Pldt might have a better speed but the landline cost is expensive.

so it really boils down to what telephone line do you have installed and better stick with them.

Old cables of PLDT versus new phone cables of GLobe.... So asa man inyo... PLDT was fast before now it has a lot of subscribers na hinay na kay overloaded na.

someone called me up from globe and said i can get lifetime discount for the MRC if gentext holder ko. apparently, our landline is in my mom's name so dapat siya ang gentext holder. i asked for a suggestion kay usik kaayo nga naa naman jud koy gentext card, ingon siya, sign up nalang daw kaw for sure, in the coming months, mu-ubos jud daw na ang price sa broadband. or whithin the year, pwede mukuha pud ug gentext card ako mom.

Globe Broadband is working very well for me here(talamban). i used to have problems with it 2mos ago but now i couldn't ask for a better dsl provider. its pretty fast

globe sucks among dsl diri mandaue paknaan down gihapon since wednesday pa ni gamit na lang ko ug dial up diri. kapait aning mga tawhana ilang costumer support permi walay motobag. nya mga explanation sa mga tawo didto mga taphaw kaayo.

sige lagi tawag phone operator nila'g pamugos nga set up mi dayon broadband. lisod man kaayo kay pirmi walay tao sa balay weekdays. naa siguro na silay commission noh?
