It is now believed by many analysts and column writers in the Philippines that the United States is involved in the recent attempted signing of the so-called "Memorandum of Agreement on Ancestral Domain (MOA-AD)" in order to gain control of the US$580 billion natural gas deposits in Liguasan Marsh and the US$trillions of oil deposits in Sulu Sea. The notorious Exxon Mobil Texas-based corporation is allegedly funding the MILF through Malaysia and the so-called "Peace Plan" which is nothing but a clever "Plan" to dismember oil-rich Mindanao and Palawan from the Republic of the Philippines. This, says many respected analysts in the Philippines, explains why the MOA-AD contains provisions which effectively grant the "Bangsa Moro Juridical Entity (BJE)" the status of a sovereign state like what the U.S. did in Kosovo. The Filipinos, both Christians and Muslims, say the analysts, must learn from this clever "modus-operandi" of the U.S. in Kosovo and not fall into the trap of killing each other which will only facilitate the introduction of "International Peace Keepers" composed of U.S., Australian, British and Malaysian troops in Mindanao and Palawan and which will only facilitate the dismemberment and disintegration of the Republic of the Philippines. This will then allegedly result to the "rape" of the natural resources and the stealing of the Filipinos' national patrimony in the form of minerals, oil, natural gas, gems, deuterium and the fertile land of Mindanao and Palawan.

The analysts question the secrecy and lack of transparency in the negotiations for the MOA-AD and the fact that it grants a "sovereign nation status" to the proposed "Bangsa Moro Juridical Entity" which can be a member of the United Nations and which will then prohibit the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police to enforce the laws of the Republic of the Philippines on the areas controlled by the said "Juridical Entity." They also say that this is part of Shell's and Exxon Mobil's worldwide plan to control all the sources of oil and natural gas in the world by using the governments of the U.S. and Malaysia to do their bidding. The same analysts also point out that the signing of the MOA-AD would have been done in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with the U.S. Ambassador to Manila as a witness to the signing, had not the Philippine Supreme Court issued a Temporary Restraining Order to stop the said signing of the MOA-AD. They also point out that "Bangsa" means "nation-state."

To all Mindanaoans and Filipinos concerned:

    Didn't you ever wonder...

...Why the U.S. removed the MILF from its terrorist list?

...Why the U.S. Navy, Army and Marines still has a strong but quiet contingent in areas throughout Western Mindanao but never engages in any firefight with the MILF despite the close proximity?

...Why Ambassador Kristie Kenney unnecessarily visited an MILF stronghold a few weeks ago?

...Why the United States government wouldn't allow the Philippines Armed Forces to go on a full scale war against the MILF?

...Why the US goverment heavily invested in General Santos City's infrastructure (international airport, highways, etc) without a clear source of return on capital expenditure?

...Why a planned 3-part episode of Mike Enriquez' Imbestigador covering the U.S. military's and the CIA's presence in Mindanao was cut short to only an episode a few years ago?

...Why the powers that be (both the U.S. and Philippine governments) aren't really serious in developing Mindanao?

...Why the U.S. is strongly but quietly supporting this MOA-BJE?

Hydrocarbons. Pure, unadulterated crude oil. The lifeblood of the developed nations. Without which, the economies of the first world will collapse.

Sulu Sea has very abundant oil deposits under its seabed. Discovered by the Americans almost two decades ago, deliberate and cautious planning was done to maintain the instability the Americans needed to create misdirection while they drill the oil offshore.

Oil is of the utmost strategic importance for both the American government and, to an extent, to the Philippine government. The MILF or the so called "war" in Mindanao is of no importance to the powers that be as long as drilling of oil is not interfered with.

I hope this gives everyone a new and different perspective. I hope no one gets hurt. It's just business.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Dan

wow at last, a non-muslim understood this present war.

i am a muslim and i already have this idea in my mind but hesitant to speak it out for reason that people might see it as propaganda.

so let me just add a little...They(US) and other countries want to support this MOA because by the time it is signed, this part of mindanao will be autonomous and those countries that have a business interest in mindanao will no longer have to deal with the central government w/c has been proven corrupt and expensive.

Diretso na sila ug deal sa autonomous govt ana nga lugar so it means mas mo barato ug ang red tape mobo na lang, hehe.
