    ^nice! and thanks =)

living frugally is an uphill climb. mostly two steps forward, one step backward. but one thing's for sure: i now know when i'm not being frugal.

for example, i went to buy a book in National Bookstore yesterday. true to my longtime habit, i bought two other books (language books). When i got home, i realized it was impulse buying. It could have waited. tsk.

Default In these trying times, how does one save?

Prices of everything now are really high. Let's share how we can save on almost anything we spend money on. Here are some that my family do:

    1. To save on electricity bills,
-change incandescent bulbs (lowest wattage at 25W) to philips 10W or lower.
    -unplug all unsused appliances
-ensure cooking of rice is monitored to lessen keep warm usage of rice cooker
    -simulataneous ironing of clothes
    2. Buy bigger items on consumer goods
    3. Planting veges and spices at backyard garden

Use ceiling fans instead of the air conditioner.

Use a clothesline or a laundry rack instead of a dryer.

Sleep your computer when you're not using it.

Do not put uncovered liquids in the refrigerator. The liquids give off vapors that add to the compressor workload.

Allow hot food to cool off before putting it in the refrigerator
