I saw one since a freind of mine have one... and i used to own a palm treo 650, am not sure about the processing speed but its graphics is better than the treo 650...
From: Palm Centro review | ..:GadgetMix.com!::..
What I liked about the device:
* Reliable phone module
* Fast: Thanks to the Palm OS speed and fast processor
* Looks great. Girls will love this thing!
* 320 x 320 resolution looks great. Font is so much crisp than QVGA windows mobile devices
* SDHC support
* Built-in QWERTY Keyboard is nice
* Small and great form factor
* Good battery life
* Awesome phone integration with the rest of the OS
* Can be controlled with one hand
* Decent stylus size
* Quad band GSM module
* Reasonable price
* Removable battery(take that iPhone!)
What I didn’t like:
* Palm OS is very old now! The OS has not changed at all since the last time I used it
* No file explorer bundled. I was forced to install Resco Explorer due to it
* No wifi. Why Palm, why?
* Poor camera. Just 1.3 MP and pathetic quality
* No 3G
available na diay diri sa Phils.? i thought sa USA ra...
anyway... I personally wouldn't want to waste my money on this thing... Palm phones are so known for the quality of their phones and their high prices...
but will all the competition going on with PDA phones... this wouldn't really be at par with them especially if you throw in the retail price..
@shardraco
ya available na na dri phils sa games & gadget sm and sa ayala (mobile 1 i think ang name sa store), but only 2 colors available sa pinas, white pa ang color available ang black wla pai stock.
ya palm os is quite outdated, but very fast and reliable. one thing i don't like centro is the keypad. saw the unit sa ayala. gamay au ang keys sa keypad.
palm also is expensive compared to other smartphones and ppc.
can't say about sa processing speed sa unit, how it handles applications because never used one and wla pud koy kaila na naa ani na phone. =)
I'm personally using a Centro.
Almost the same ra cya sa Treo 680 og features. Same ra ang pag navigate gyud niya sa treo 680. Lahi lang ang Versamail version and ang resolution sa cam. So far, okay ang Centro. Better battery life compared sa Treo 680.
the centro is a great smartphone...it has an easy to use interface and a builtin qwerty keyboard thats quite responsive...i highly recommend this
@Hot Ice
dili lisod ug type bro? gamay man gud ang keys
Nope, dli cya lisud itext bro. sayon raman.
kita ka sa QWERTY keypad sa P990i? naa man ko P990i then mas huot pa gani ang keypad sa P990i bro pero sayon raman gani.
anywayz, coz it's a palm os, paspas gyud ang feedback. layo ra sa WINMO (also using a Treo 750) or sa uban symbian.
DO NOT hesitate! Go and buy one! In my humble opinion the Palm Centro is a great PDA/phone!
Got myself a black Palm Centro at Mobile 1 Ayala for Php17,490 last Oct.24, synced,transferred all of the contents from my Sandisk SD to the 4-gig microSDHC (bought separately from Dharsam) and I am in Palm PDA heaven!
