    Everybody is entitled to their opinion. Thus, i'm putting my opinion here kung
    asa chada puy-an sa Mindanao.

    This is my ideal, luxury, chada puy-an;
    - a small house outside the hassle and noise from the city
    - overlooking the river rapids like in Bubunawan and/or Cagayan River.
    - I can hear the rapids and birds and nature in general. it's soothing listening to this.
    - on weekends I can invite my friends and relatives for a whitewater kayak runs. The put-in is just less than 100 meters below my house. And the morning run starts just after sunrise.
    - the take-out is somewhere in the middle of the city like in CDO. then go directly to DVSoria and have lunch and relax with your kayaking friends and family.
    - then back to work on weekdays.

    This is NOT my ideal, luxury, chada puy-an;
    - you live in a condo
    - one day the expats living above you are "humping like a beaver"
    - the next day you can hear the "headboard banging against your wall". it turns out that adjacent to you is "one of the girlfriends of a high ranking city official". And even worst she "squeal like a turkey" when that gov't official is having a go at her.
    - on weekends you go to the condo gym to exercise. After a while, you developed some rashes in your thighs and backside. It turns out that you got the rashes from the gov't official because he uses the stationary bike before you. That gov't official has too many GF and he's got VD.
    - you went to the condo pool for a swim. hoping the rashes will go away... you're having a good pool lap, then all of the sudden you catch your breath and swallowed some pool water. the water is a bit "salty". It turns out that the kid who crosses your path just pee on the pool
    - the next night you cannot sleep well. Because the aspiring Punk Rock Drummer is just too loud, just one floor below you.
    - then your toilet starts to stink. it turns out that the sewer pipe above just clogged up.
    - the next morning your carpet or floor is soaking wet from the flooding above due to broken dishwasher/washing machine.
    - a few months later you taught you are out of the woods. until the son of a wealhty businessman, who is so stoned, lit his condo and started a fire. The son said, "man this is sooooo cool"....
    - then you start from square one again. still barracking that condo living is luxurious.

    Hold you horses, this is just an opinion. And I didn't bashed in city.
    You can have your opinion too.

    cheers,
    Bisaya Dako

    while I agree that condo living isnt my thing (hey I live in one here in Singapore and mas preferred nako ang landed property but I have no choice kay mahal ang magpuyo sa landed property), I think ang reasoning ni Bisayadako is a bit flawed, if not stupid (re: cons of condo living)

    anyway, Davao's having condos just shows that the city and the residents taste are more diverse hence condos are acceptable..As an urban center, Davao has evolved (nag level up) and now mas marami nang choices.

    How could it be stupid when it is his choice and reason?

    I know we can't avoid if they insist in staying here in Davao...but, the thing is, we'd rather live without them, that's our preference.

    Ahhh, basta sa akin sa CDO ang perfect puy-an bisag taga Davao ko. Nindot ang scenery sa CDO. nindot ang mall particularly ketkai. dili katkat mall unlike diri katkat jud. Bisag unsaon pagrenovate Gmall klaro pa gihapon ang pagka-katkat. Nindot sa CDO dahil updated ang mga taxis. Nindot sa CDO kay daghan moabotay nga mga qulidad jud na skyscrapers. Dili parehas diri duna kamiy abattoir tower kanang Durian hotel nga dugay na naging haunted tower. May umabotay na 2nd abattoir tower sa filinvest sad. Ang Riverfront Corporate city namin, nangabuak nalang ang mga bildong towers from A to Z invisible pa rin hangtud karon hahaha... Mao na nga ayaw ko na diri sa Davao, naa may Ayala pero pangit man ang design, unta sa pagkahuman nindot para may sosyal mall na diri sa davao. Duol ra pud kami sa Samal, buti nalang may islang nagsave sa tourism industry diri sa Davao. Pero unta madayon na ang bridge para maabrihan na usab ang dakong hotel didto nga mga uk-ok ug tabilli nalang ang nagcheck in didto.... Sa CDO nalang ako klaro pa ang future....

    wala ba nimo nabasa ang iyang reasoning sa cons sa condo living? if it were a joke ok ra but if he were serious about it (thus discouraging him from considering living in a condo) then its stupid
