all i ever said that we should unite for the whole mindanao. i wanted all cities in mindanao to be the premiere cities but your friend insisted that there should be only one premiere city in the island. what kind of reasoning is that? as they say, life is like a wheel. there are times when youre up and there are times when youre down. my point is, davao will never stay on top forever. there will come a time that other cities will catch up and even surpass davao. a good example is cebu. before, cebu was not the queen city of the south. yet, today, cebu is more progressive than davao eventhough cebu is smaller than davao in terms of area. davao is currently the best in mindanao. i never said otherwise. i only said that cdo is catching up. there is a propensity that cdo will surpass davao not in terms of area but in terms of tax collection and well-management. since you want that there should be only one premiere city in mindanao, then i say that cdo will be the premiere city by 2010 because she will cater the two highest edifices in mindanao. i already have shown you some of the proof. you want to see more? there are a lot more high rises to come in cdo. the LKK novotel is just the start. there are also the 10 storey korean hotel, 12 storey Koresco hotel and casino and the Swiss bel-hotel and convention center. as of now, the tallest edifice in davao is the 18 storey marco polo.

even though cdo is progressing tremendously, there will also come a time that other cities will surpass her. lets take the philippine setting for example. the cities that have progressed rapidly are the ones with seaports. Manila has a seaport. cebu has one. so does davao, cdo, iligan, zambo, butuan, surigao and gensan to name a few. lets go to a larger picture. new york is known to be the largest city in the US while LA is the second largest city. they both have seaports and are most of the time free from terror attacks. going back to the phil scenario, the city that will rapidly prosper are the ones that have seaports and at the same time free from terrorists. if im not mistaken, butuan and surigao can surpass davao. but more likely, butuan can become the premiere city a few years from now. bottom line is, anything can happen because life is like a wheel. davao will never stay on top forever.

please dont boast to us what you have so that we wont be forced to boast to you what we have. its either we become friends or we become bitter rivals. its your choice.

hey dude those hotels you mentioned are all delusion , not even a single hotel mentioned on the national newspaper, can you give me links if it did ?not local but national ok? btw even GOD will give you those hotels it doesn't mean you'll be the premier city there so many aspects to become a premier or in your own word premeire . if this how you perceived CDO's progress , good luck! hope your fellow Cagayanons will not be disappointed/

sure ka dili na libak? you just told all of us na "feeling" and "know it all" ang imong kaila na from Davao...and dili pa jud mag-bisaya kay magtagalog lang...that's called back-biting. there are a lot of ways to express an impression about a person without resorting to back-handed comments like those.

if you say safe ang davao, then you should let other people live there, no exceptions but if you insist your logical reasoning that they're not allowed in your place, then your talking about impossibilities. you can't avoid those kind of people mate...we are neighbors, im leaving near davao city, i knew its bad and good, advantages/disadvantages.

all we want [others] is to stop lalis but it seem that dili mo kasabot sa stop or binisaya undangon ang lalais.. . with your attitude, i think people would think the way the way you think about city. being in the with people of such kind of attitude, it wouldn't be a safe place at all... a lot of contributors here are not thinking, they only act as if they knew something.

Possible kini mahitabo if nagpabiling stagnant ang Davao. Pero kung ang Davao daghan pud ug mga big time nga proyekto sama sa Ayala ug Filinvest nga wala sa CDO, unsaon maabsan sa CDO ang Davao?

better not put up argument if you could not stand scrutiny from everyone on here. go slow with reality and whats not than leaving people to wonder where are these claims coming from. if you could only come up with weak stance, dont open the city for argument. davao would not tolerate pure assumptions of claims based on perceptions to put forward questionable agenda. dili mag undang ang replies bec they keep on pushingassumptive claims for us to accept? feed us substance filled claims

its not a problem to admire and aknowledge cdo city if it becomes largest and premier city in mindanao. but not pushing it hard to look like one when its obviously not ready objectively.
