nakabasa ko ug article ani last month nya gi feature ni sa gma i think about the saturation of nurses here and abroad. dugay naman ko nag warning sa mga kaila nako oi na it's just a fad (no offense intended to the profession itself). sayop man gud na na mentality na kai abi "in-demand" mao lang ang kuhaon na course (although i'm not generalizing). It was always my advice na kuhaon nila what they want but unsaon man pud some things are not in their control pud. Like when the parents mamugos ba or unsa. hahay.... at least i tried to balance everything.

but i'd really like to see the face of that nursing student 8yrs ago sa irc na nanghambog pa na di gyud daw mawala ang demand sa nursing and dako daw sweldo. in your face na unta to dah. hheheh... peace.

hinuon i'm somewhat lucky nga diri nako nag nursing. gisayangan bitaw akong mama y daw wala ko nitiwas nga naa naman unta ko diri. pero you know what i told her? daghan pa kaayo options dili kay NURSING ra.

naa koy regrets pero gamay ra. regrets coz i could have made more money when i graduated. karon graduate nako from college but from a different major/course.

Ayaw pagmahay kung mas dako pa inyo makuha na sweldo kay wala mo nag nursing. If you are happy with your job and career right now. What more could you ask for?

Unya dili ra jud kay 50 demand 50 passion. More like 80 demand 20 passion lang.

Naka remember ko sa una ako agaw nag nursing pud kay demand daw. I asked him, pila mo ato sa klase... He said although demand pa to mga 30 ra sa isa ka klase. Meaning mas daghan pa ganahan buhaton ang sa una besides nursing.

Karon kaha sa isa ka klase mga 50-60 students per section. Murag ang mga batan-on karon ba kay wala na nakaila ug lain kurso besides nursing.

salamat ky usa ka sa mga taw ni hatag ug chance na basi naa pa gyud diay nipili ug nursing as their passion or vocation. at least naa pa gyud taw na d pa totally skeptical or closeminded.

my estimate is 80-20.

80% because it's in demand, 20% because of passion to be a nurse.

let me guess....Chong Hua? pwede sad Perpetual! Mas mau pa na ang knang hospital kilid sa Bradford ug offer i, sa una ky 6-8thou na sila gross/mo. na sila. mga late 90's pa gani to.

Parehos ra na tanan...whether cebudoc, perpetual, chong hua, or what... start ka ana nga sweldo... athough minimum of 8 thousand na if regularized ka..

hahay...nagmedtech pa lang mo wa moi problema sa trabaho..maka abroad man ghapn ka ana..NURSING ra ba jud d i ang course dri sa kalibutan? hehe huna-hunaa ninyo maayo nga naa pai uban courses dha.. ako medtech man ko but la ko ni work kai niproceed man ko medicine..but accdg sa akong mga friends nga nagwork, understaffed cla..mao na rana bow! hehe
