my goodness, first of all i said that only one city can be the "premier city" in any place of interest because the inventor of the word wanted synonym for the words chief, first, leading, foremost, etc and etc. i never said davao city will be the premier city of mindanao til kingdom come thus depriving other cities to that accolade. and this line "expect that city to be bigger than davao in terms of economy, urban agglomeration, population, fame, cleanliness, tourist attraction, media mileage and many other aspects" should not hurt your feelings unless of course your criteria to being "premier" is:
1. it should be smaller than davao in terms of economy
2. should be smaller in urban agglomeration
3. smaller population
4. not too famous
5. not cleaner than davao
6. a so so tourism and media mileage

if gensan or zamboanga or cdo will get the tag "premier" in the future, as if there is an entity that will give it to cities actually hahaha, expect that davao will not be "premier" anymore, right? that's my point of saying that only one city can get that accolade. not two, three or four premier cities you are complaining about. english 101.

but the real situation is the whole of philippines is very dangerous to go to. islamic militants have strong history of violent human destructions in the philippines, exploding vital public utilities in manila/makati. the feeling is just total fear of safety anywhere in the philippines. i mean the warning would still be philippines is one of the most dangerous countries to visit

in fairness to zamboanga city, it has true 10 storey tall high rise to its skyline and they did not talk about it too much

you want to know what i think? i think youre so selfish that you only care about davao and not thinking of other cities to prosper. cdeo is the most strategic town in the island. yes, davao is huge but cdeo is catching up.

regarding your so called condos, theyre only mid rises. davao has a hard time going beyond 20 storeys because of one thing. i wont tell you that because if i do, i know youll only argue with me untill dawn.

Im from CDO city, if i am given a chance to live either of the two, i rather chose CDO because its a small city and ive heard that Davao has a curfew which i dont like. Also, this Death Squad makes me so scared. What if im mistakenly pinpointed by someone that i am a drug pusher, tsugi ang labas ko nun, lol... That is my own opinion lang ha, im not picking an argument here, hehe... educate me here if im wrong.

Davao's ambiance, surprisingly, still retained it's less hectic, small town feel. It even surprised me when I heard the info that Davao could peak up daw to 2.5 Million on busy days due to influx of people from neighboring provinces kay it doesn't look nag-guot mga tao sa downtown to the point they overflow to the streets. No, there never was a chaotic scenario like that. I comprehend it's because of the interesting elongated sprawl of the city that it stretches to many kilometers from north to south, but its width only takes a few kilometers such that one can see lush green hills flourishing just over the edge of the downtown area. It literally gets the best of both worlds. If CDO has that small city feel, surprisingly Davao has maintained its ambiance too yet at the same time is undisputedly a large metropolitan city.

You were misinformed about the curfew. You were probably referring to the curfew prohibiting the ordering of alcoholic drinks after 2am, which is a smart ordinance no problem with us. Syempre you can still drink kung naa pa'y nabilin sa bote after 2am and gimmick until early morning, the point is mag-order pa alcoholics beyond that time is an abuse to one's body na and the ordinance is for one's good. The downtown and its gimmick places is bustling even until dawn with people still milling around and they feel safe too. The sodium lights make the streets highly illuminated at night and dinhi baliktad ang nahadlok. Kung sa ubang siyudad ang mga tao mahadlok sa mga kriminal, ang gihimo sa Mayor dinhi sa Dabaw ang kriminal dapat maoy mahadlok, and that's no joke. So if you're not a criminal and pusher you need not be scared and I think paranoia ra pud kaayo nang naa pa gyud scenario ma-mistook ka, that would be least likely.

It's refreshing to know you're from CDO kay kanang uban man gud nagpost diri nga gikan yata sa CDO pastilan makasulti na lang ta'g, NGEK. I hope you keep your level-headedness para at least may matinong kausap from Cagayan dito and also for the sake of your city's reputation. sila man gud counterparts, specially kanang duha grabe ka extremists, i.e. extremely inflated with egotistic illusion to the point mag misinform pa, and yet extremely deflated with comprehension, NGEK.
