perceptions very shallow as basis for claiming premier city in mindanao. firstly, davao is a metropolis for them to do a lot of catching up. davao is the commercial hub of mindanao. almost all of banks in the philippines(local and overseas) are in davao with total number of branches more than double the number of banks in her city. financial instituions and foreign development instituions in mindanao are based in davao city.

all foreign consular offices in the island are based in davao proof its the most important city to foreign governments. foreign chamber of commerce in mindanao are all based in davao. the city is the hub of international travel and tours in the island, with davao international airport the main gateway. centre of education with 5 major universities 42 colleges. best training in ateneo de davao, university of philippines mindanao in the lead. looking at website info of university of southeastern philippines, its a state university and a major centre for research and graduate studies.

health care facilities, cdo may have good looking medical centre, but in no match to the sophistication of equipments technology available in davao city. medical facitilities in davao are as beautiful and is the health centre of eaga and mindanao. davao have the most number of shopping centre choices, entertainments, etc. to sum it all up including all other measures, its only davao city, the hub, the capital, the premier city of mindanao
