    Now for bisaya dako:

    Just take it easy. It would be better if you ensure to support your claims about CDO with hard facts and solid figures, and not just empty claims or subjective opinion. We are aware that CDO also registers good growth like the rest of the country.

    Just some more enlightenment for you because I have noticed that you have twisted some facts or points:

    On real estate, you said thank you and you're welcome! CDO also has its' share of good real estate developments but I have to say DVO is ranked 4 in the whole country in so far as construction and real property development is concerned, just after Central Visayas. Sabi ko nga Banner Year ito ng Davao due to real estate and construction boom seen like never before. Example: sa project pa lang ng Filinvest, Php12-B investment na yan, more so pag isasama mo pa yung iba like Ayala Mall, Robinson's Cybergate, residential projects both low-cost and high end, BPO facilities, travel and tourism facilities etc...

    Im wondering why you fret a lot about the condominium thing? It's not responsible for you to generalise that Mindanaoans cannot afford a condo unit, much less ask pointblank who owns one or not. It is actually selling like pancakes in Davao due its' market reach is beyond Davao.

    Then you wondered in your previous post why I skipped religion. Foremost, religion is a divisive issue. Secondly, I can only speak for Davao. Christians, Muslims, Lumads or Tribes live harmoniously in Davao and they equally play active roles in building a greater society. Each is given a representation in important decision making.

    About "making and spending money." I don't even have to explain this. If you make more money, you also have more spending capacity. That explains all the infrastructures, installations, constructions, malls, condo's etc..happening in Davao. A concrete example: SM City Davao is building another mall somewhere in the north side of Davao..means people are spending more because they get to earn more.

    About per capita: You said you have higher per capita in CDO compared to Davao. Allow me to give you an illustration:

    If CDO's output is Php3,000,000,000 with a population of 500,000, then divide the output amongst the population, the per capita is Php6,000.

    If Davao's output is Php7,000,000,000 which is 4B more than CDO, then with a population of 1,400,000 the per capita is Php5,000.

    This explains -- kaya mo nasabi na mas mataas ang per capita ng CDO because you have lesser population..

    Hope info helps..

    Cheerio!

    bacchus
    Thank you very much for answering the "per capita" subject. I was hoping that those trolls who put one-liner, no brain, comment will do the research/study themselves.

    I would like to add on Marketing CDO, CIC, NorMin. Please see the link;

    NEDA Project Proposal Monitoring

    Here is another forum, it's a bit old, but informative;

    Cagayan de Oro Infrastructure and Urban Planning Thread - Page 3 - SkyscraperCity

    NorMin is not sleeping. It's doing slowly but surely. But most important is, it's putting into practice the simple comment of that Japanese businessman, i.e. "Japan has small houses but big factories while Philippines has big houses but small factories".
    Politicians in NorMin are not saints but at least, itorok gyud nila sa bagul-bagul ang comments like above.

    Note again on my postings here. I did not bad mouth any city at all. Not even mentioning it.

    cheers,

    Bisaya Dako

    clear as day yung bolded part...i know sabi mo "small legit businesses"...still, that doesn't included the top executive officials of the country, mga people in the entertainment industry, people in the medical profession (doctors, dentists, nurses), people in the ICT industry, and those who are heirs to some fortune...isama na din natin mga nanalo sa lotto.

    kawawa naman ang mga students mo bisdak...no offense...hahahahaha....you generalized all the people Mindanao (and the entire country pala) as either poor or unfair employers or illegal businessmen...are you that senile and cynical? you owe the whole of Pinas an apology.

    i got your example, anong mahirap intindihin dun
    but your example shows how clueless you are...it's common sense na ang mga tindera sa LKK or sa G-mall man eh hindi makakaafford ng condo...doesn't require half a brain to know that, that's why hindi ko alam bakit mo ini-equate ang condo affordability sa sweldo ng mga tindera...obviously, hindi tindera sa Gaisano ang target market ng mga condos, kundi the people with higher income...how hard is that to understand? ano maghahanap ka na naman ng palusot? yung tindera ng ororama na naman siguro...
    kaya brainless ang pagcocompare mo ng sweldo ng mga tindera sa prices ng condo units...i think you should learn from your students who are smart and follow very well, for your own personal dev't.

    cheers!! (tap water ito ng davao bro)
    Not all doctors...my in-law is a *-surgeon on CDO. I know "their" financial status.
    And they don't want to pay interest for 30 or 35 years (pag-ibig loan, whatever). Just consider, after 30 or 35 years you've paid more than double the amount you've borrowed. She rather invest on her profession, like spending on high-tech medical equipment in the hospital than investing in condo.

    You should try buying a condo yourself. If you can make money then good on you. It's easy for you to say but not all professionals can afford a condo. it's easy for you to say.

    the *-surgeon above <--- I don't want to give away much what kind of surgeon she is. but she is a surgeon.

    cheers,
    Bisaya Dako

    youre holding too much on projects which promise are but hope. let go of them or youl end up in toatl frustrations and bitterness. davao has merubeni corp proposals on lrt and railway sys. and a bot. but did not live to shower the locals in meteoric proportions it is going to transform davaos economy into biggest on the planet like a miracle could do. discussions on ssc about towering hotels is again something not to hold on to too much! they said something like all these plans are going to open in year 2010. loots of skyscrapers there. bloody greatness! they better start groundworks by early next year to catch up opening dates! i wonder what will happen to the city if all groundworks starts all together. i bet the city will be shaking and rattling by movements of earthmovers and the skylines smogging of thick construction dust. i dont know but your citys top pryce hotel wasnt heard of tapping international hotel operator. though bit expensive in operation, but if business is brisk in the true market, would have ventured in to raise its level of service.

    and yes, rectifying you distorsions and false beliefs on davao is a bad mouth against you and thats you talking. but there is such side of life as "its not the attitude anymore, its your perceptions". davao was point blank straightening facts and perceptions.
