Default Battery Grip What can you say about them

I have a battery grip for my D50, an after market one (Mercury brand) it works alright, but it doesnt have a vertical shutter release. Any of you have sad /good experience on say Ownusers brand etc? Let's hear them.

another good thing in D80 battery grip you can use 2 battery at the same time but the camera use one battery at a time so if ang right slot is low bat na, u can take it off to charge and the camera will use the left slot. for me its nice feature.

my body is a nikon D40 and im putting an OWNUSER battery grip on it. so far, so good. my only complain is, sometimes, the grip loosens up. although it loosens up just a little bit against the body, i find it uncomfortable. nevertheless, it serves my purpose of having a battery grip- ADDITIONAL WEIGHT.

if youre looking for half-press/autofocus feature on this grip, then forget it on a D40/x/60 body.

mostly but im not sure if all, the shutter release of battery works tha same as the primary shutter release, and in nikon all the battery grip has command dial and sub command dial and work the same the as primary shutter, sub/command dial. and in D80 batt grip you can turn on/off the shutter release of the grip to avoid accidental shot/clicking

so far nuon, the loose part is just small, you can barely recognize it. mao na, dili jud nako tang-tangon pirmi ang grip para at least, dili ma unsa.
